Help me with penguin hit ! Site not getting recovered

My site got hit by penguin 2.1 all rankings dropped. I took the step and tried removing and disavow bad links another thing i did is i keep updating my site with fresh content on week basis still there;s no improvement.

can anybody help me

I was hit with a penguin update and lost 85% of my traffic. I did recoup somewhat by keeping content new and fresh, make sure pages are all a minimum length, not stuffing keywords in my pages, get rid of dead links, no 'paid' ads especially in the sidebar, using 'copyscape' to find my website duplicated and sending 'cease and desist notices', not having too few keywords in my pages.

Also try to always link back to the next higher tier page - helps out spiders and make sure you have an updated 'privacy notice'. As to how important each of these factors are I have no clue but all together they helped me get back at least 50% of my traffic.

The trick here is to anticipate what G wants...and G changes the rules constantly and will not let you know what they find wrong.

Hi jr D.I.P you are not alone; most people hit by Penguin don't recover quickly. What criteria did you use for selecting URLs to remove or disavow? People have very different rules for selecting bad links.

QParker are you sure it was Penguin? Those are some of the things you should do for Panda.

First of all take all your backlinks and investigate which are good and which aren't. Separate the bad ones from the group and put them into the disavow tool. Next focus on manual link building, get a list of your competitors and analyze all their backlinks. Sort the best of them and try to build links for your website in there as well.

Move contents to new domain. Wait a few months. Redirect old site to new domain.

Like Bartosimpsonio said just move the content to a new domain if you can.

It will be much faster and if you know what you are doing you can get things back to normal fairly quickly.

What you need to do is do a disavow for all your links, and then you might have a chance Use googles webmaster tool to see all your links, and then put them in to a txt file and upload to disavow. I got hit real bad, tried getting rid of bad links like you, and 5 times I sent in a request. On the 6th I just took all my links and disavowed them, and bammmm I'm back

Are you saying you disavowed ALL your backlinks?

yes unfortunately, if nothing else works, then that is your best bet and then slowly start revovering

Wow, it's been two years and I still haven't recovered. Maybe I should give that a shot.

I've got so many keyword rich anchor text links I'll never be able to undo them all.

What does that disavow request look like?

Do you just say disavow all?
