Old domain name or fresh domain name

Hi,

I found a domain name that has already been used un the past I can see it on Internet Archive . It contains one of my two niche keyword, but it's the most important of the two. Example if my niche keyword was "hybrid car" the old domain name would look like "nicecar".

Which option here is best for SEO?

1. Take the old domain name for is age.
2. Take a new domain name with my keywords (ex: besthybridcar)


Note that in the long therm it would be nice to position my site in the top with the main keyword (as the exampe here "car").

I would definitely recommend buying an aged domain because it will be much easier to build backlinks at a faster rate and thus quicker rankings. Its safer to use an aged domain IMO

Co-Sign what pennystocks said...Aged domains have already jumped hurdles that your fresh domain will run into..and one of those is something you can't control or manipulate with any SEO practices or anything - which is obviously Age / Time.

Definately a old domain name as it will have good PR

KVC made a good point. Really research the history on it before buying it. You don't want an aged domain that's been spammed to shit and deindexed, penalized, had a history of bad behavior, thin content and lots of ads, linking to "bad neighbors" etc...Much of this can be corrected, but there's no point for you to make more work for yourself when you're trying to do the opposite lol...

Some points you need to consider,
1) Has the domain been redirected for PR benefit ?
2) Has it been spammed ?
3) De-indexed or penalised.
