Guys, do a google search for term cheap xbox (do not use quotes).

At 7th position theres this: "Digg - Cheap Xbox 360" and it points to a Digg post which is submitted only 8 days ago. It points to a website cheap--xbox-360.com and I checked the domain it was created 2009-03-12.

The term cheap xbox gets around  165 000  searches per month!

HOW in the EARTH did this guy get on so high on Google for this keyword phrase ??? I bet he gets quite a good traffic through Google -> Digg...

Digg ranks well with Google naturally, but it dies off quick. Target a keyword for the title and another for the description and you'll rank well for a day or two.

But in that time I bet he gets some quite decent traffic to his site.

Just like most of the pages ranking on page 1 for Viagra, the ranking won't last... but milk it while u can.

this method can get a good traffic in a short time, but it will not last long.and by using this method, the domain might be blocked by google.

What you mean under " block by google" ?
This way I can use senuke and block whole internet.

Digg ranks well with Google initially, but your rankings will usually drop pretty fast.

The one the OP was mentioning has dropped down to the bottom of Page 3.

If you look at page 2, there is an Ezine article ranking for this keyword that has only 80 backlinks.

So if you used a similar strategy, and grabbed more backlinks, you could most likely grab a page 1 spot for this keyword in a short amount of time.

With the tools I've bought recently from this forum, this should be fairly easy... :)

But is it easier to get ezine article rank higher than my own blog when building backlinks to it?

Also, like someone mentioned, I've also seen people rank very high for competitive search terms like buy phentermine. They plant links to forum profiles and build few thousand backlinks to that forum profile (not the sales page itself) and rank high. Why does those forum profiles rank so high? Why don't they build links to those sales pages instead?

For example: if you google buy phentermine, you can see on first page at position 4 there's this site: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showuser=65042 and if you check the backlinks to it, there's around 1,560 from various spam boards.

Why these forum profiles rank so high so easily?

Unless you have a blog that is older and is considered an authority site by Google, EA will outrank your blog with the same strategy in the short term.

If you kept building backlinks and working on your blog, eventually it might be considered an authority site and rank high on its own naturally.

But this will take time.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on that Digg submission with their link yet.

You have to build strong and permanent links as well as onpage SEO/

A digg won't stay up on top for long

pdoods funny you mention this, I have been seeing it a lot on one of my forums. Kind of dismissed it & just deleted the posts, starting to see the method now clever!

Yea. I think this method is considered aggressive spam.

I have also noticed people building backlinks to their member profiles on things like adobe.com and get good rankings on terms like buy viagra.

You are right. I searched "Buy Viagra" and this mofo is on the second page.

yes that digg is nowhere to be seen now, its better to point your links to propertities like squidoo hubpages, blogger type sites

That's what happens. You backlink to your profile that is apart of a high-class, trusted website for Google, and you don't have to worry about anything but backlinking.
