From a book called Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Honestly the most unsettling images I've seen.

The author has passed but the illustrator is still living. I'm inspired to take my issues and put them into stories.

Twisted sense of humor is more entertaining in my opinion. I've grown over the years into a polite person, but deep down still lies the ability to laugh at things people probably shouldn't joke about.

I remember I stole these from my elementary school library when I was in fifth grade, I remember being nervous and feeling shitty on library days when everybody would complain about the book not being there and how pissed they were when the librarian finally disclosed that they'd went missing. I still have them sitting in my room to this day lolol

I rented it from the library again in 2012, they only carried one book in the series. I haven't touched these since I was 10 and while the stories aren't as horrifying as I recall...those drawings......

Now they re-released them with family friendly revisions. Those original images were 90% of why my eyes watered up in terror.
