Hiding links on high PR websites

Hi all.

So I have a website and the home page is PR 2. I wanted to give my other niche sites a link from it. So I thought about hiding the link as white text on white background... But I wondered if Google was on the look out for this. I found:

Ok so Google says NO!... But what do Black Hats do? Have you done this before?

It is a very old trick and not really worth it. It could get you penalised.

Put the link in a div with a z-index lower than all other elements. If you want to do more load the div based on useragent etc.

Many sape links are hidden, but don't seem to lose their value in any way...

It might get you penalized and might not. Just don't use this kind of links on your money site. Serve googlebot different .css if possible.

No, talking from personal experience, it does n't get you penalised, I'm using css display:none, the stuff everyone says that only worked back in the early days. It still works

Why try hiding the link? If you are using it for juice purposes make it prevalent. If you really need to do it attach the link to a picture 125 x125 then put a bigger picture in front of it 250x250. What you are doing here is legit and even a manual review will most likely miss it.

Of course not. First your site isn't even that high of a PR to stress about something like this. Just put the links in normally in the content on the homepage and you'll be fine.
