How broad should my niche be?

Hi guys,

recently I thought of building a website targeting buyers in a specific niche. As you all may know, we need regular high quality content to get potential readers and conversions. But what if your niche is SO targeted that you run out of content? Let's say I build a website around iPhone cases, okay? Now, my articles are targeting buyer keywords and I post around 3-4 articles per week. My question is, how long can I keep this going? Won't I run out of content ideas very soon?

No, because even if you write about something semi related, like just having articles about the iPhone in general (hundreds of thousands of potential articles) you just need to find a way to sneak in your long tail keyword in a few times into your article, even if it has nothing to do with iPhone cases. You don't only need to have articles about iPhone cases. Just articles with 1% of your keyword for it to appear in Google searches and rank your site accordingly and appropriately.

That is, if you actually care about your content and pleasing your readership, then obviously you'll run out of articles. If you just care about ranking then like I said, broaden the topic of your articles. But I think 3-4 times a week is a little excessive for a niche site. 2 articles a week would be fine.

I'm not an expert when it comes to MN sites, I'm still figuring out how to achieve a good passive income myself but that's pretty much exactly what I do.
I don't go overboard with it, but I like to have 1% of each article contain my target keyword. It seems to help as my articles always appear in Google for my long tail keyword, even if the article has little or nothing to do with the search.

I don't know about you, but I only try to include 2 semi related keywords in each of my articles for best results in search engines and thats its.

I don't pay attention to Long Tail Keywords at all.

This makes my work easier.

Pick a long tail keyword for each post. Even with micro niches there are hundreds of options. Try keywordshitter.com for ideas.

there are too many things to write about.

I stop posting new content when i cover everything. or try to expand into other niches.

The thing is that I want to target people that are already "willing to buy" since my website is all around one special product, but at the same time I'm trying to make it look like a "real" blog with real content, not a MNS site.

Then you have to be more broad and produce semi-related articles. How many articles could you write about the same thing? Not much. If you look at authority sites, even they extend their topics on their blogs.

I think it would be a good idea to post other type of content too. However, buyer's keywords should still be the priority.
