Yes hubpages / ezines suspend and ban accounts due to content of websites which we link to. This is very common and I have 50+ ezine accounts due to this. As mostly its due to bad content on our client's websites or location based keywords, which are against their terms.
Nothing "fishy" here as you say. haha.
