How to make a wordpress page into a social atmosphere?

Is there any wordpress theme/plugins where users can sign-up, or just enter a name and other users can see what they post?

Here's what I need? My site is based on some type of username, so i have a page called usernames. What I want is for people to leave their username on this section, so other people can visit this page, see the username and add them.

Also it'll be great if they can leave a pic along with the username, so I need a theme with some type of social atmosphere.
