Hi BHatters,

So I just got sick and tired of having to view a darn ad for a few seconds before having to click skip every time I want to watch a YT video. Also the featured video ads at the top, bottom and side was just ticking me off!

So I thought id share a simple yet not a secret way to say bye bye to this.

AdBlock add on for Chrome and FireFox does the trick and works 100%!

Here are the 2 download links:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=en
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ (I use FireFox )

Hope this comes in handy for some people.

I watch a lot of music videos on YouTube and watching the same ads over and over is just crazy...

Cheers and Enjoy :)

I really don't like adblock plus. YouTube video creators work very hard on their videos and deserve compensation. The same thing goes for websites displaying Adsense or other ads. The internet is only able to offer as much as it does for free because of advertisements.

I have never and will never install Adblock plus. I think there is something very wrong using it - ESPECIALLY as an internet marketer.

I agree completely.

If all of our visitors had adblock, then WTF do we do with our adsense money making websites?

Thank you for the voice of reason!
Yeah, video creators spend hours and hours to create decent videos.
They need some compensation or who would bother to create any decent contents for youtube?

I don't think you can say this yet we follow tons of other Blackhat, bad, unfair, some even illegal methods to make money online etc... Some on here even give people fake PPD offers and the list goes on. So I do not see anything wrong with using this to remove something that might be an irritation to some marketers. It's not like the average internet surfer is going to use this....

Think about this for a second or two......

There is 100x more to youtube than just adsense guys, come on! Affiliate offers, PPD etc... The video creators spend hours to create decent vids? Most IM marketers take other vids and mod it a bit or scrape it or use spammy scammy vids anyway. There is 2 sides to this!

How about no. Those ads do t really bother me. I love youtube and Goole and would rather support them. Bandwidth isn't cheap. Try starting a tube and see how it goes.

^^^^^^^^^
One can just as well say the following: WhiteHatters spend endless hours building manual links over long periods of time and we should not use blackhat methods or any paid service to make backlinks or use redirecting domains, scripts etc....

I like letting ads play on my favorite Youtubers' videos. I know it's earning them some profits for their hard work.
What you say may apply to IM marketing videos but actual "up & coming" or "famous" Youtubers actually put in effort. Cameras and crews are not cheap.

I posted it for those that want to use it. If you don't want to then don't. Simple as that.... We all have a way of looking at things and a right to do it or not. I choose to do so as my personal preference. Some people will choose to cloak their affiliate link and some wont as it may feel wrong or against their morals. (simple example)

Thanks for your feedback though

I use adblock when ive got multiple tabs open doing multiple things just to make life a little easier. But when im browsing normally i turn it off. Although i do use it i do think its a bad thing. Besides ive heard that adblock wont be so effective in the months to come, infact im sure the chrome version right now allows google ads to be shown as part of some agreement.

The last time i saw, the firefox verson had like 15,000,000 installs. Thats alot of ads not being clicked

There is something wrong with this statement when I try to apply it to my case:

1. I never click YouTube ads even the rare relevant ones - so it makes no sense for me to keep getting annoyed.

2. Suppose I wanted to support the content creators and click on the ads just for the sake of it... The content creator will get his money from my click, but I'm not going to buy anything, so whoever payed for that ad is going to waste money

3. The more people will block AdSense the better (in terms of diversity) the world will become in my eyes, and the less competition there will be per platform

You know they actually only get paid if you click the ad or link right? Watching it through does not earn them anything. Otherwise everybody would be placing ads on the vids and buy 1million HR views and let the ads play through. ;)

i use two browser type but most of the time when i watch youtube i letting ads play ,appreciate their video
if you install adblock you never know what people offering
also ads sometime give me an idea for business

Thank You for seeing my point mate! Some people thing that if the ad plays through the video owner gets paid which is not the case. Only when there is a click! Thumbs up for your feedback :)

Sometimes I click them, but it's true that playing an Ad longer than 30 seconds (not common but they exist) earns the channel profits.
Regardless I'm mentioning the principal of it. I don't want people using AdBlock on me so why use it myself.

To appreciate their video you have to click on the video ad that is playing. Secondly how can you give appreciation to the video before you have watched it? I live in South Africa so we get the same darn ads, non relevant BS getting played over and over and over. Guess it depends where you are located...

Let them earn some pennies here and there man! It's a good way to take media out of the hands of rupert murdoch types.

Possible point there with the 30sec theory, but not 100% sure how that works and how YT will monitor that.

Because other people dont give a darn about me,yours or anybodies ad unfortunately! IM is a fishy business and we do what we got to do to survive online. Sad but a fact... And like I mentioned we might use AdBlocker but there are still millions of other normal people that don't and won't even thing of using it.
