it's very slow at testing proxies. i went to bed woke up it has like 2k to go out of 9k it had wow

Plug, proxy testing speed is dependent on your configuration and connection. If you need faster proxy testing, I would advise:

1. Disable SOCKS proxy testing if you don't need it (Configure -> SOCKS Proxy Testing), or disable HTTP proxy testing if you don't need it. Testing for SOCKS adds two additional connection tests per proxy.
2. Lower the timeout for both SOCKS and HTTP testing using the Configure->SOCKS Proxy Testing and Configure -> HTTP Proxy Testing windows. 5 seconds is a good timeout. I wouldn't use proxies any slower than that.
3. If your machine can handle it, increase the number of threads under Configure -> General. This will allow more proxy tests to occur at once, so make sure your internet can handle it.

Hey Justin, I was leaving this one alone in case any of our users decided to chime in, but it looks quiet The Proxy Booster URL Manager add-on (visible via the Add-Ons screen) will automatically add any URLs that contained valid proxies to your URL list, so you could always do that if you need more URLs. Don't forget Proxy Multiply will also crawl new URLs dynamically on its own via its search function. Using the Proxy Booster add-on will allow you to maximize your proxy finding potential, though.

TheArticleMen, I wasn't really sure what bling was asking and asked him for clarification, but he never responded. In terms of headers management - the HTTP headers are sent standard like any other browser would send them, with information on keep alive, user-agent, etc... The only special things done to the headers are to randomize the user agent with every request and to accept GZip encoding to save bandwidth. Response timeouts are configured by the user in the Configure -> HTTP Proxy Testing menu, under 'Timeout'. Does this answer your question? If not, what can I tell you?

We released an update in mid-December to allow crawling from popular sites that use javascript, but otherwise nothing exciting is coming up. We're always listening if you have a good idea!

There are plans to integrate Proxy Multiply with our Yahoo Answers Bot, which is forthcoming, but I would estimate at least 3 months before you see that due to time constraints and testing time.

As their business model revolves around ensuring your computer is unique and the only one accessing the content they pay for, you will only have luck with high anonymous proxies. Click the Proxy Type button on the main window and select 'Elite proxies only' 4 items down in the list. You will also need to clear your cookies/cache every time you visit the website from a new proxy.

Hello,

Something happened with my Proxy Multiply, it is not working properly anymore
It is crawling those 189 URLs for proxies, getting the proxies and checking them; but after this everything stops. It is always saying "found 14 more websites with proxies" - but the proxies are not added anymore to the list, the list is containing only those previously checked proxies from the first 189 URLs.
And this is happening over and over again, it is always showing the "found 14 more websites with proxies" - but nothing happening anymore, just showing that famous number of 14 websites
And it is over and over again checking that initial proxy list, until the list is only 20 proxies - no more proxies are added to the list, never

Anybody else is getting this error? Or it is only me? I am running it in admin mode, in compatibility with Windows XP SP2 - that was the setting I have used also before, and everything was ok. I didn't made any changes on my PM settings - so why is this happening?

Please help me to can get my PM running properly again!
