Why is everything so fucking expensive ?

Did you know that smart pension fund managers dont have a pension fund? :-)

By the time you reach the pension age, the money you put in your pension fund is going to be almost worthless, because prices will be 4-5 times higher than they are now.

10-20-30 years ago money had different value. In '70 for exemple, with 200-300$ you were rich. In few years, the living cost will increase, and you will look at these days and ask yourself " how i could live in 2014 with 2000$ !? " :)

Which is why we also make more money now. My day job is paying about $120k, 30 years ago when everything was cheaper it paid only a fraction. Where I used to live they recently phased out all small coins, because the price of the copper was worth more than the face value of the coins ..

Purchasing power, e.g. adjusted for inflation, is what we need to look at. With low interest given by banks now, at least here, one can argue that interest won't keep up with inflation and tax that you have to pay on interest gains. However, if you are buying passive stock funds, your average return has beaten the inflation rate -- the same goes for real estate (we only had a minor bump in the housing market, it's skyrocketing again now ... )

If you are saving for your retirement in stocks, bonds etc. they will over time give you a better return, also adjusted for inflation.

ok so i need buy iPhones =)) ha ha 10 years ago : iPhone 5 = 10$ =)) haha how it would possible ... JK

The relative cost of goods depends on the category. Obviously, the cost of computing continues to decline to the point that you can run a computer on your phone. Try to look at the bright side and this is where I show my age but I once spent $1500 in late 1980's money for an XT computer that had 640K of memory and a 20 GB hard drive that basically ran WordPerfect, Lotus and Dbase. My big game was Digger!

For $700 today I built a dual screen video graphics rendering computer, so it's not all bad.

That's absolutely true. I think it is more the daily stuff, like food, restaurants, gas (here in Europe at least) and also cars that got more expensive. A bun costs 5 cents here before the Euro. Now it's 37 cents+.

Supply & demand always works. It may take a little bit of time for equilibrium to be found be it always does.

As money vlaue has depreciated it looks expensive compared to 10 years back

10 Years back 10 usd was a big money now its not

Well, you are partially correct, but then again, spending money on crap is for wankers.
Food expensive? Learn how to cook properly. Stock up on food once a week and prepare your meals in advance. And don't be a carb-junkie.
Fancy a new BMW? Screw you. Get a 2001 model for a couple of thousand. Run it for a couple of years until it breaks down.
Gold-digging girlfriend? Replace her.
And... don't get kids. That is a real expense right there. But if you do get them, raise your kids in an environment where they don't get beaten up for not having the right sneakers.
Tax? Don't pay it. Work around it.

Supply and demand works in South Korea too, only the don't allow anyone else but the state to get in to the "supply" part and you better not buy too much or you 'll get executed :) So, that by itself means nothing. You need free market entry on the demand side and unrestricted buyers on the supply side ;)

Nothing of those things change the fact that your capital (i.e. purchasing power) simply rots away. To deal with that practically you need to invest (i.e. take risk).

So my final 2 cents...

The services are too expensive for what they provide cause IM is more difficult. Crap backlinks would get you listed easily in the old days, nowadays crap backlinks are instead detrimental to your site. YT tools like MvB were really useful in the old days when YT was easy to rape.

But IMHO, the main problem is the competition. If you live in Europe or North America, not even 3000 dollars a month is good money. Whereas you'd be king if you made that money in Bangladesh.

Adapt or die, again. (bollocks)

Because someone decided the marginal benefit equals or exceeds the marginal cost. That's why.

This is how I've always seen it too. People will always complain.

If you want cheap, earn in USD(via online), and living in Vietnam.

3 star hotel cost around $10.00 lulz per day.

Environment not bad, great food, ultra friendly people, free fast wifi everywhere(compare to Thailand, even wifi in hotel I need to pay wtf).

Yeah I'm sure the environment in Vietnam is excellent, especially after Agent Orange and the ongoing birth defects and health complications that are still prevalent there.
