I want to know, how can i calculate the local seo competition by some of the analyzer tools?

I'm not sure, but I guess via Google Adwords tool we can know the Local Competition value also BY selecting Country > City.

Because I was recently researching keywords for one of my client, whose business based in New York. (United States, New York) Selected on Google keyword planner tool.

I did same for him.

That's not true. Local looks at citations and links from local sources (contextually "local" that is). Especially after an update a few months ago. Links are important, but they're not everything like they are in non-local SEO.

No I mean custom search results which google shows only local results for the people .
For example I'm in detroit and if I type in google "pizza restaurants" it will show me the local pizza restaurants .

I am pretty sure SweetIQ has a "local" comp analysis too where they look at a number of the factors and issue you a score. Might be worth checking out.
