In a wierd situation with eBay. Could someone help?

Alright I bought a pallet of electronics from my friends cousin. Everything was in great condition (I opened random items to test). The deal was good, Low enough to peak my interest and high enough to avoid suspicion. At this point I have no idea if they are genuine or knock-offs, (my friend vouches they are real), but regardless, They have sold for me quite well on eBay. A little too well I suppose because my account currently has a selling suspension on it. I received a message from eBay asking for an invoice for these items. This was a cash transaction, hand to hand. I've read through the BHW forum but cannot find any topics related to this situation. Can I simply have my friends cousin call eBay? Write out a note? What can I do to lift this suspension? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You should have your friend write a letter explaining the situation and have it notarized. Maybe create a quick accounts payable and receivable statement too. This will at least show you have books on money going out and coming in.

Would that really work? Or would they want information from them about where it came from? I talked with one member from bhw and they said I could hire someone to create a faux invoice. :/ Not too sure about that method, But a hand to hand transaction worth thousands might raise questions from ebay, wouldn't you think?

Well if it was a legitimate transaction then I don't see why it wouldn't. But you could also go with the fake invoice route. Do you have a company name? If you can provide documents showing you're a business buying from a vendor rather than just a person buying from a friend then I think your chances would increase greatly getting the suspension lifted.

I had same issue, once they start busting balls, they usually keep coming. They will make you jump through hoop after hoop, then they will limit your PayPal account and do the same. Hate those assclowns.

It was 100% legit. I haven't registered as a business yet because this was a side venture. I can see myself doing it full time this is why I am pressing to resolve the issue. Do you think if I was to register as a business now it would count?

I can understand the harshness by which they crack down with, consumer safety all that jazz.. But it does create difficulties for all new sellers trying to make this a business platform. And I'm right there with you, I've had a multitude of problems with paypal as well.

Question, is there anyone here professional enough at creating invoices that could help me out? I mean, I would be happy to pay. I'm just ready to get back to selling.

Sometimes they actually want to look at your your invoice but they are usually checking for an authorized distributor for that item and someone they can contact and cross reference your invoice number with. Lots of people sell DVDs and get suspended when they hit $10,000 a month and then when eBay requests a PoP (Proof of Possession) or an invoice, then people send in Best Buy receipts and it gets them nowhere and completely banned.

yikes. I'm at a loss. Such varying degree of actions to take. Once I try the "blank paper" technique, I better be prepared for the "we got a blank sheet" response and have a "real" invoice ready to fax over. The thought of a retail receipt never crossed my mind, But it does seem pointless, Selling that large of a quantity (Close to $7,000) worth and sending a receipt for a couple of hundred. Haha But yes, I do need somebody, apparently, with proficient skills at invoice creation. (Obviously) I'm lost on my own.

If that fails you can always start off fresh again with a stealth account, thats what I do. I dont like dealing with those clowns, its a waste of time.
