Do you believe in karma?

Evolution isnt even accepted as scientific theory anymore. It has proven its failure!

LOL. Maybe you watch Harun Yahya documentaries a lot? Wake up man, it's full of fake informations. That guy is not even muslim. His group doesn't know a thing about science. He's trying to scam people for just money.

What I don't seem to understand is that if evolution was real then what the hell are mokeys still doing in the zoo. Oh wait, humans are in prison so yeah I guess evolution is real.

Lol cool story guess karma was on your side when you had an accident, flew out the car and just came here to post it ...
Anyways:
Some might say yes some no, in the end its just another belief of someone. To each its own right? Karma for me is pretty much action and reaction... A bully keeps being a bully until one day he will mess with the wrong person, which is the end. Some would say Karma others just the result of his actions.

Thank you for including me in your prayers. Actually, I am neither an atheist nor an agnostic. I am in a position to understand though that what *I* believe, I have no way to prove it. And since it is out of the realm of science, it has no value for anyone other than me. Simple as that.

What is it that you believe in? Something out of the realm of science? Got me curious there...

Yet by certain religions, a man can build a boat big enough to put two of every animal on it, from all over the world, and sail that boat, food included for however many days. Yes back in the day through lack of travel it may have seemed possible to put every animal in the world on one boat, as the only animals which existed, are the ones they seen with their own eyes. Basically what it comes down to is a lack of knowledge. However now, even with the technologies available it would be impossible to put every animal in the world on one boat. Not even the biggest cruise liner these days would hold every animal and their food. Never mind the slight problem of rounding a female and male up of every one of them.

I always think karma is real however many people just get very paranoid about karma. I believe if you do something bad something bad will happen in return and the same vice versa.

No one cares to convince you of anything. You are free to burn in whatever hell you like :)

You mad Bro?

I didn't mean to get under your skin (I wasn't even addressing your post) and was really trying to stay OT. No need to dissect my post and create talking points. This is a very diverse forum and we all should respect other opinions even if we don't agree with them without referring members of opposing viewpoints to hell.

BTW, man still cannot fly. He can pilot machines that can fly.

Science is anything but constant. Science is continually evolving and finding fault with previously proven "facts". Just study early medicine and see how wrong all the Doctors were even 100 years ago. Facts proven by science when I was a youngster are now laughed at today by Scientists. In 30 years from now, people will be laughing at what you believe are facts today. That was my point.

I believe in a Universe created by intelligent design and you believe in a science that contradicts itself about every generation or less. We can both laugh at each others belief in the unknown and simply have a beer at the end of the day.

When did all the Taliban start joining up here ?

Emmm, No offense, but I am in not really interested to argue with someone who thinks Money is his God!!! =================================== @Jazzc, I like your last paragraph. Makes sense! Emmm, according to my beliefs, I tell others so that they know about it. They can accept or refuse, its their choice. #################################### As for Evolution theory, It doesnt contradict with any religion. I dont believe it because it doesnt make any sense! A fish turns keeps evaluating till it becomes a human! Really! There should be at least millions and millions of mid creatures between every organism we see now. Like flying mo keys :-) Anyone watches National geographic knows how every single creature was created exactlymfor its place, functiin and according to its surrounding. Thinking all of these came from one source is absured.

I am in no way getting into a debate, or trying to disrespect your beliefs, but religions which was fact many moons ago like the "sun god" and the "moon god", are now laughed at by people who believe in their "god". Pretty much the same as scientific "facts".

Personally myself I have no interest in religion, neither do I have any interest in trying to boggle my mind in the mysteries of the universe. I am just happy living my life, as life is too short. One thing I do see as logic is when one dies you simply go back to the place you came from. People do not seem to be able to get their head around time, but it is only logical that you was dead before you was born, the same amount of time backwards, as when you die, the same amount of time forwards. But hey, who knows? Not me, not you, not Jazzc, but maybe DHsellerUK.

yes i believe it :) i think if you do bad things, feel sorry that you have made that bad decision and attempt to fix things, you don't have to worry about bad karma hitting you back.

Go ask Nikolai Tesla if he believes in karma, I'm sure he would say 'no'. That poor guy spent his entire life trying to make life better for humanity (he wanted 'free energy' for every human being on Earth) only to have his inventions stolen and falsely credited to other covetous people (X-rays, radio, fluorescent light bulbs, and alternating current just to name a few). His name is barely mentioned in school textbooks and he died alone and impoverished in a hotel room surrounded by an incongnizant world that was using all of his inventions. Meanwhile, the people who took his inventions went on to develop an illustrious reputation and live out the rest of their lives very prosperously (Benjamin Franklin is a frequent cited example of one of these people). So no, I do not believe in karma.

Quick glance, and this thread appears to be a religious debate. Is it in violation of a Forum rule? If so, I recommend it be closed.

Whut?

You 've misread my sentence. I said that you are free to believe in anything you like (such as a horrible place your soul might inhabit for eternity). I did not express any wish for you to go in such a (non-existent for me) place.

I consider this personal, so I won't elaborate on it, sorry.

In general, belief has to do with things you can not prove and science has to do with things that are provable, so these 2 are orthogonal.

If you where out drinking and then drove home, I would say Karma had nothing to do with it. The lesson is you not being an idiot and driving drunk next time or it could be your life or the life of an entire family.

I think it was more symbolic, learn to care more about others and not be so self-centered.
