Traffic prior to negative SEO: 500 relevant uniques/day

2 weeks ago discovered a shit load of backlinks that were obviously NSEO. I mean who in his right mind will create ~80,000 backlinks with such a "diversified" anchor text in a gay niche.

Now the fun part.

Traffic 2 days ago: ~1500 relevant uniques/day
Traffic yesterday: ~2500 relevant uniques/day - I got tired answering comments
Traffic today: Already past 2000, will probably hit 3500-4000 by the end of the day

I'm not going to disavow anything. Moreover, I dont have Google webmaster associated with the account.
I deliberately waited till I see some effect and didnt act two weeks ago, when noticed the backlinks first time.

Anyway I'm going to pull maximum out of it.

- If the site will keep getting traffic I will leave the site as is.
- If it will go down slightly in SERP I will get a good amount of healthy links.
- If it dissapears totally, i will find out who did the NSEO and redirect the domain to his. Then put the content on a new domain.

Not sure if this applies to you but I had a "wohoo" similar to you. Few days of nice 2000+...
Then pow 400,000 over 2 days that reduced my VPS to a crawl.
So either congrads or get your htaccess ready to block countries.

well i noticed this. someone had linked my site with porn anchors even though my site is %0 relevant. (NSEO attack happened to me yes)

then i noticed i had some traffic from google with porn and mixed anchors

since site is completely irrelevant to the porn it has no value

but in the long run my rankings really get lowered

So far didnt see anyone coming from a gay related keyword, but due to Google's referrer blanking I see only a partial picture, so there might be some.
