Lol, I wasn't going to comment and I won't after this, but did you just compare the chemical process involved in making Heroin and Cocaine to drying some flowers on a plant? I'm not going to waste my time explaining the process, but that comment is a complete joke and you know it. If you don't see a difference between hanging some flowers to dry out, and using gasoline, cement mix, limestone, hydrochloric acid, etc, then you should sue your grade school. They failed you miserably in the science department.

Ah another who feels that strong need to tell every one what he does. You will notice my first comment on here was simply a question, the question being why do potheads seem to feel the need to tell everyone they smoke pot, as though it someway defines them as a person.

I first commented on this thread with a basic question, you will find, if you are clever enough, it is you who felt the need to turn it into a debate. I consider marijuana highly underrated. First time I tried it, I ate a space[brownie]. I was hooked. That was 5 years ago, after 6 months I was smoking daily, and still am. To me - at first a sceptic black/white-minded person - it opened up a whole area of 'grey'. It made me discover my passion for music, and because of lots of spacin' on weed I practised for many hours and now I can play almost all instruments I like. The sceptic me would've said I could never achieve that, because in the beginning I couldn't tell two notes apart...

I confess I probably smoke too much, but I prefer to go around high There's just too much negativity in daily life that can turn you down, but when I've smoked it gives me food for thought. Just ponderin' all day, doing the things I like most. And supporting myself, with my own little rented appartment and my wicked-ass Miata MX-5

But it goes further - and this is often left out in weed-discussions - I really believe humans are made to ingest it. There's even science-proof! (I can't link externally yet... search G for cannabis neural receptor humans, you'll get it)

I think it keeps you healthy. Today I noticed, when I had to blow my nose for the first time since months, that I hadn't been ill apart from a cough here and there, for over years! There's a documentary on Youtube where the Rastafari (weed-based religion) were asked if they had high lung-cancer rates. They never had a single case. To me, this is just hugely interesting

Can you actually define natural? You see everything on Earth is natural, it did not come from somewhere mystical. Lets not get into the issue that pot is often transported round the world in barrels of oil. Would not really want to get onto things which do not suit your opinion would we?

Oh and please do point out the part where it says I am not allowed to post on this thread, otherwise, keep your rules to yourself. Again if you look back at this thread, I only asked a question, it was the potheads who blew it all out of proportion.

OT: Erm, perhaps people should respect personal freedom of choice?
Booze makes you more confident, aggressive behavior is common, it is even used as an excuse.
Herbs make you more careful, or a bit more lose, depending on what you need, never violent.
People can argue about health concerns, but sugar kills more people than herbs do, booze kills more people than herbs do. Herbs just kill of the smoker and he is perfectly aware of the risks and should be free to take those risks.

I have been smoking for 20+ years and met a lot of "potheads". It is not for all. Sometimes it can be a serious problem but mostly that happens when people combine it. In the grand scheme of things, there are worse things you can do imho.

Why people like to talk about it? That's like asking what social media is based on. lolz! People like to talk about what's on their mind and/or show how unjust a plant can be portrayed.

Comparing it to heroin or cocaine is dumb because they are heavily processed and cut after the plant is harvested. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I have never smoked anything that was ever in an oil barrel. That is still not an issue with marijuana - it is an issue with the transportation process.

No I do not want to get into a debate, but to me it is just completely childish, reminds me of when I was at school and people used to think they was naughty because they smoked. Or when you was a kid and people seemed to think the more you drink (or say you do), the harder you are. That was my point, nothing else, could not give two fucks if people want to smoke weed or not. Done it myself, glad I stopped, very very very glad. As when I see stoners now, and they look zombified walking around town, I just think..............

You look down at herb users and I find this sad. People should have the right to live their lives any way they see fit while respecting the lives of others, you don't on this topic. Not all people are needed as dentist, not all people are needed as lawyers etc, respect goes a long way and not all will make the same choices you did.

To elaborate on this, I was watching a documentary on Bolivia the other day; the Coca leaf ISN'T a drug itself. People chew it 24/7 in Bolivia, it's sort of like chewing tobacco for them. Cocaine is a mixture of chemicals and junk WITH the Coca leaf powder, so is heroin. Chemicals and junk can't be added to marijuana.

It's not like anything is going to change when Mary-Jane is completely legalized... except one thing, and that thing is... tax money. A large sum of the first taxes from the sales in Colorado are going towards education. Also, non-violent criminals who just busted for this plant will be released. The same percentage of people will still smoke the plant, give or take a few. It is not like once something is legalized, you can morally do it. Don't you know that everyone and your grandma found fun in killing before it was made illegal? Really, never heard of that.
