Can we Sticky a "Do-Not-Scan or Use" List in the Proxy Section?

Hi,

As some of you know, there are all kinds of proxies.
Proxies you are allowed to use, proxies you're not allowed to use, and proxies you REALLY shouldn't use.

Some IP-Ranges belong to governments and army all over the world. These ranges should probably be left alone.

The proxy section on this forum is really useful.
But I think, especially for newbies, it would be good to list the ranges, so they can be left alone.
Nobody gets in trouble that way or breaks the law.

I've heard about proxy scans gone wrong. Then your ISP gets notified.
Some proxy-scanning software has build-in lists. But not everyone uses the same software.

It's a good idea, I've thought about writing up a big thread on them before. There's a big file that you get with proxyfire and a few others that has a lot of gov. ranges but it would need updated. I see you listed that one thread I made a while back, those places I listed there will absolutely fire off complaints to your ISP. The one Snel I think it was, I only scanned the 1 range of theirs twice, and both times I heard about it. Good idea for a thread though to give a little heads up for your average port-scanner out there, definitely will save you some headaches down the road if you steer clear.

And you're right, I read a post by you about "snel" I think it's Dutch or something, is that correct?
We definitely need an updated list, it would be really cool if we could like add ranges to it as time goes by and keep it updated!

if u looked at some of the dates on those ranges
from 1994 - onwards - alot of companys move there ips around
and the list it self is from last summer

At least he is trying to contribute. Saying that his info sucks while at the same time not wishing to present more accurate/better info isn't the way to go. The forum is about sharing and while no one has to share his info if he doesn't want to, we encourage those who do want to. Perhaps his info is not good enough but that 's better than no info at all.

First of all, this is an IANA list of A class assignments and it 's using RFCs as its references. These things don't just change from one day to the other. So, it 's quite a safe bet that the US Department of Defence really owns the 11.*.*.* range of ips, for example.

While it 's just an A class list, and so not an exhaustive resource that would protect someone, one can at least avoid the obvious ones.

Also, I 'm not sure how you assert that 50% of those companies don't exist. I took a quick look and they all look familiar.

Nobody take the risk to scan dangerous ips .em talking about those scanner who using vps for scanning..
when you Scan dangerous ips in vps after few days or after few mints your vps ip is suspend due to
dangerous ips scan..so many ppl scanning on normal DSL Speed.they r wasting the time and i dun belive
on that kind of scanner who doing scanning in pc in low DSL speed and they walk like a admin and talk like a proxy king hahahaha lolz..
nobody finally say that in port scanning, iam proxy king..port scanning is very hard and very deep thing...

that is very simple thing..just collect the old proxies or alive proxies from the posts and collect in one txt file
Then upload the file in proxyfire and make the range...
