Article Smith - Designing, Building, & Preparing an Article Spinner SaaS

sounds like an interesting app, i'd be in for a beta key if available as well :)

Sounds interesting to me, count me in for beta testing and also never forget to set-up a affiliate system with coupon code facility :)

You know what you do - I am excited already! Please count me in if you will giveaway beta keys. Thanks!

looking very promising, i just have a 10K articles i do not know how to use these, if your mega spinner can do a better job on this, it sooooo cool i think!

By the way, when we done spin an article, is that will 100% pass copyscape? If can, could we put adsense on it?

Wish i could get a key :)

can i get a beta key ?

I can definitely consider it! ;)

Consider yourself added to the pool of people I'll be picking from!

Great advice. That's what the "Free account" on the right hand side of the app's interface is actually for. I figure getting a spinner for free every month gives good incentive to invite people you know.

Following. Do you plan to open beta user for free?

It won't be open beta, as the core functionality is already working and it's simple enough there's no room for error. Instead, I'm picking 30 people to give free access to. Now, the project management app I'm working on will most-likely have an open beta, as it's more involved and I'll need people to report bugs to me.

I appreciate it! And consider yourself added.

How I'll be handling updates

Some of you know, I completely recreated Qualaroo. I'll be using this to collect data from the users, and after I get say 500 (or how many it takes to see some consistency) of the same question answered, I'll start adding to and taking away from the app accordingly. There is also a bug report and a feature request form available. Although, to be honest, most feature requests will be shot down. The goal of this app isn't to become the biggest, baddest spinner and take everyone out of the equation. The goal is to fulfill one need to the best of my ability. I don't want to lose focus of that goal by adding so many features it becomes daunting. If you can't get over what another spinner does, I suggest you go back to it. However, if it's a great and truly unique feature request that stays in line with my philosophy, I'd be more than glad to add it.

Something that's already on the road map for me is adding French. Apparently, that's a big deal.

For a 10K article, it might be a little cumbersome honestly. It will spin it easily, but you'll need to read through it and see if you like the synonyms and phrases it picks. Then again, you would with any other spinner too.

And it's up to you how unique the article is. The goal is to help you create the most human-sounding article. That's where picking different synonyms comes in (they're inline in a dropdown menu so you don't have to keep respinning to get a new one). To help you understand how unique it is, each time you change a synonym, the uniqueness percentage will change dynamically.

As for adSense, it would be just like any other spun article. If it's original enough, go for it.

Good luck with your journey mate!

Would be interested in a beta key once available.

Well, I didn't get anything done today. I still have to set up the forum and convert the app portion to use Backbone.

This is what my day's been like.

I've decided to wait to implement the forum, until the user base grows. I'm going to try and finishing implementing Backbone tomorrow.

Seems a great idea and if it works out like you planned, you will have many customers I am sure ;)
I would also love a beta key if you can please, thank you!

P.S. The design is awesome!

This sounds like a great one. I've had some really lousy ones done in the past that I've paid for :-/. They even posted the horrible copy around...

So I should probably update this! haha. Sorry for the delay. This is really a side project on a side project. I shouldn't have set such strict milestones when I was working on other things.

With that being said... It's done! Well, kind of. I'm switching out S2member for something else (still in the process of looking) before I open this to anyone. Turns out S2Member isn't what it used to be. it's gotten incredibly bloated and is very ugly.

Are any of you familiar with membership plugins for WordPress? I'm thinking about AMember or DAP.

So the day plan for today is the following:

Make it to Tulsa alive
Get wicked day-drunk
Find suitable membership plugin to handle subscriptions and billing

I have absolutely no client work to do today (for the first time in a long while) and will be working on this.

great site design. it's nice to see such an organised and well-structured journey. best of luck :)

The site looks really awesome man. Good luck with everything.

What's the USP of your spinner -- just that its the best at creating realistic content?

edit: include me in the beta key pool :D

I appreciate it!

And the usp is "Easily create unique, human-sounding articles at the click of a button." I'll be A/B testing this, along with a happier graphic of a writer at a desk, compared to the "Copywriters, you're no longer needed... etc." with the current graphic.

I think the more positive one will convert higher, but who knows! That's what A/B testing is for.

I don't like USPs that state things are the best, because with no way to prove it, it's fluff and people don't trust fluff.

I believe that when you reward people, they reward you back. So I'll be offering 20% payouts for referrals. You can have your subscription paid for after just referring 5 people! On top of that, you'll be able to pick a banner that you can put in your signature on a forum or as an ad on your website. How does that sound!?
