WTF is a Dogecoin?

I am pretty passionate about crypto in general, I can talk about it all day lol. I am obviously biased "against" dogecoin from the start. :p

So there is 100 billion coins out there, 25 billion which are in circulation. You can expect within the next few months there is going to be maybe 30-40 billion.

Even at 25 billion coins, wishing dogecoin will hit $0.50 is a pipe dream. That means the market cap has to be $12.5 billion dollars. Bitcoin is not even there yet, and look at all the innovation and infrastructure around it. Even asking for $0.10 is ridiculous.

Dogecoin was meant to be a joke (the language, the community). It was funny and it served its purpose. But real money, like Bitcoin money will never ever flow into that coin. No professional investor will ever put a dollar into that coin. Its main audience is reddit meme folks, and teenagers and kids. None of the audience qualifies into the big money category.

With so many new coins being mined, and the trend is obviously finished, there will always be more coins than buyers driving the price down. We have seen this trend with new coins before, the trends never get revived. They hit their peak one time, the people who mined before the peak cash out, and never look at the coin again. In the next few months, the number of coins will probably double, and the number of buyers will probably cut into a quarter of what it is now. And only the true dogefans will be left which is a small community.

Its cool if people want to put $10 or $20 into it and have fun with it, but noobs who actually think it is a good investment and put hundreds or thousands will get burned.

I've 105 dogecoins, and I'm sure the value will touch $1,200/doge next month. ;)

P.S.:
I would be very happy with the $$$$$$ I would get then, but I am really scared for the doge-half-millionaires out there... hope there are no serious health mishaps to them when the value hits $1,200/doge next month. And in case they don't high those numbers, I would wait for it until that happens... but 1 thing's sure... no more mining now, or ever.

Dogecoin has crashed man.
Bitcoin and Litecoin are the two coins only to mine.
Worldcoin is seeming a promising coin nowadays.
Have a look at them and leave other random animal named coins. :) :)

Dogecoin was always a scam in my opinion. If it's on an imageboard I don't want it!

Also you can't use ASIC mining(that ruined bitcoin economics) on Dogecoin.

I smiled with some of the nonsense funny talk at Reddit so it was already worth it.

To everyone saying Dogecoin is "worthless," I disagree entirely. Not because I believe it'll reach $1 per doge in the future, I don't. But Dogecoin has a large and extremely dedicated community always looking to spend their doge or obtain more. And where there's a market, there's a profit to be made.

Check out Doge-Dice, for example. It's a gambling site based on Dogecoin. It launched less than a month ago and, at the time of this post, has made almost 113 million doge in profit. At the current exchange rate of 0.00034 USD/doge, this is over $38,000 profit in about 25 days.

My advice, stop thinking of cryptocurrencies as simply investments. There are many more ways to make money from them than to just hold on to them and hope they're worth 10x as much in a year. This is an internet marketing forum, my friends, start thinking as internet marketers :)

I'm interested in Dogecoins, and a few other alts. And yes, this is an IM forum. Hint. Hint.

Dogecoin is just another scamcoin. It just got over hyped. It might be worth something, but no one knows for sure!

Has anyone made some REAL profit out dogecoin here? if so please back up the story... I'd like to try it out, but just want opinions from real, non BS users.

I have no idea what it actually is and how it works, but I saw a few threads saying "Dogecoin is rising, Invest!". Here's a good rule in investing: When you hear that something is rising and is a good investment from a lot of (Unqualified) people, it's time to get out and stay out. I.e as soon as your plummer and pizza delivery guy tell you that the housing market is good and you should buy houses, it's time to immediately sell all your investment properties and stay out. That's generally how the economy works. So yeah.

Yup, I got in early and made some great money off of my initial investment and only think it's going up, so it's still early to get in if you want to make some money, but only invest what you can afford to lose, nothing is for sure obviously.

So you have no idea about it or how it works but you think it's time for people to get out, how unqualified of you. Guess you have never heard of Bitcoin? Well if you knew how it worked you would realize, it would be amazing if your plummer and pizza guy talked about it. So yeaaahh

I don't understand this retarded fascination with these "currencies" that have NO actual value. Leave the dreams of "striking it rich on currencies" and provide something of VALUE to others. You'll make a lot of money that way if you do it right.
