Why no SEO packages for new websites?

I love buying SEO link packages on BHW, in fact I must have bought close to 100 now for various sites. I just dont understand why someone doesnt launch a service specifically for new websites?

You can't throw 1000 links at a new website and expect it to not get penalised. What I would like is for someone to come forward and offer a new website package of (for example):

• 10 social bookmarks
• 10 wiki links
• 2 .edu links
• 10 web 2.0 properties
• 50 facebook shares
• 50 twitter retweets
• 20 blog comments
• 5 high PR blog posts
• 5 article submissions
• 2 YT videos
• 5 software links
• 2 yahoo answers

Or something along those lines................

All the packages currently on offer are either too large (in terms of link numbers, not cost) or are not broad enough.

To be honest, something like Leith's Yeeha package (but on a smaller scale) would be ideal

why not? as I understand OP, he is just talking about the first 4-6 weeks where you have to be very careful with your link profile. After that you still can bring out the big guns.

Backlink has never been about number but quality and will continue to be so..

I'm not taking about links from high PR sites that lands on PR N/A but true home page links.

I hope someone does come up with something. At the moment I'm buying regular packages and splitting them between multiple sites so that each site gets a smaller hit. I know that no site will rank for anything majorly competitive using these links alone, but a site does need to get the basics right before shooting for the big time. If a brand new site acquired its very first link and it happened to be on Wikipedia, that would look a little odd wouldn't it? You need a few bread and butter links before mixing in some high quality handpicked links.

I reckon john444 is right - sellers make their link packages as massive as possible because they think they'll get more sales that way. Actually if someone came out with a scaled down package that was safe for new websites, perhaps with some of the links mentioned above but drip fed over 2-3 months or so, they'd earn a shit load of new customers.

How many veterans on BHW would buy a cheap service to give their new websites a solid foundation on launch? Even if they intended to follow up with something much more sophisticated? How many would become repeat customers?

If anyone launches such a service, let me know

I don't think it's a problem of vendors not being able to do it, I think it's historically been a problem of a large enough group of buyers realizing that that's the type of service they need for a new site, rather than 100k forum profiles.

I think nowadays, after all the G updates, people are much more careful about their links and most are probably aware that you cannot blast a new site (except you want to do a churn and burn site or something similiar) . Every current guide I read about doing a blog, niche or affiliate site mentioned clearly that within the first 4-6 weeks you should set only a couple of links per day manually. So imo there is def. a big demand out there for a service that can do it for you.
