First Major Algorithm Change of 2014???

Several important keywords on my main site dropped in rankings a couple nights ago and I am itching to know why. I am about 95% sure that it isn't a penalty. It's kind of sad to say, but I have been penalized enough to know when I have NOT been penalized. Has anyone else experienced a sudden rankings drop over the last several days?

I really hope its just a dance. It's strange because some of my other keywords haven't moved an inch, including a keyword where I currently rank #1

For most of my keywords that dropped, it was either a drop of several spots or a drop to the second page. Keywords that I had on the 3rd and fourth page dropped to pages 8-17!!

Yes, there was an update yesterday, maybe a small update, 20% of my sites effected with this.
