Scammed by MrRapidHost - $100 Amazon GC for $90 BTC.

We agreed to me sending him $100 Amazon GC for $90 BTC to me.


We first chatted here, and then proceeded with the conversation on Skype.


Proof he did give me the Skype ID of him.

We then proceeded to chat and here is where the transaction starts taking place, I never get the BTC and he claims he sent it.

After I keep bugging him about it, he says the code is invalid:



Claims he clicked send and then immediately deletes the wallet from his computer for some odd reason.

This is the part where he then redeemed it, as I told him Amazon was going to cancel it.



Apparently he redeemed it on a different account and Amazon said it was on his IP and he denied it.

Most of this was chatted through Skype, the only other image I have of me talking to Amazon is this:


I have a few other friends and my brother to add him, and he told one of them I am scamming him for his BTC although he blocked me? I guess he thinks my friend was me.



If full Skype logs are requested I will post.

If I send a check to my bank and the post office loses it, my bank isn't going to accept that I tried and credit my payment. If it's lost, I have to replace it. Your debt to someone is not forgiven because you tried to pay them - it is complete when they receive the payment.

So, ArmoredMedia says he didn't receive it and you can't even show that you sent it. So... you still owe him the payment... Next time make sure you keep a record of your 'payments'.

The BTC transactions are public and can be verified. You can use blockchain.info 's search feature to find the transactions for that wallet and see if one matches the time & amount.

No payment of $90 BTC was made.

Notice that in the OP I mentioned that he decided to delete the wallet immediately after he had sent it which makes no sense so he doesn't even know the sending address.

If you look at the BTC address page, you will see no payment of $90 BTC was made on the 2nd, which is the day we talked about it.

I know that image doesn't mean there was a delay in days after, but on the BTC address, after the first there was no payments made. If a member requests to see over team viewer or w/e that that trade was in fact made that day, i'll show.

Also, if anyone wants proof that he did in fact use the code on his computer, i'll contact Amazon again and take snaps of the entire conversation I have with them. Aswell as allow a member watch.

Not sure if he is now admitting in the above posts that he had redeemed it which he simply claimed he didn't and the code didn't work over Skype.

OS does he get 48 hours to resolve the issue or how does it work? First time dispute on BHW, so not sure how procedures run for resolving issues.
