I recently started doing Youtube + CPA and I was wondering what high retention views are? If I use a traffic exchange to view my 30 second youtube video for 45 seconds, is that considered as a retention view?

Retention is simply the amount of time your video is viewed. There's no such thing as a 'retention' view, just low or high retention views.
