Hi ,

I Am Following These Guidelines From 3 Years And My Eyesight Is Pretty Good [0.5 Glasses Btw ] , I Spend 5-6 Hours On PC Daily.

How To Save Eyes :

  • Set Brightness As Low As Possible
  • Download "FLUX' Click Here [ It Will Create Warm Effect On Screen , Very Helpful ]
  • Keep Your Eyes Wet [ Blink At Every 5-7 Seconds ]
  • Avoid Dark Room

Tips For Sitting :

  • Avoid using excessively wide wrist rests, or wrist rests that are higher than the space bar of your keyboard.
  • Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water to keep yourself hydrated and thus reducing the risk of headaches.
  • It's very important to stand and walk around while sitting for 30 minutes, because prolonged sitting can cause pelvic nerve pain. Also, years of prolonged sitting can lead to other health problems. That 1-2 minute break after 30 minutes isn't that bad when it helps to prevent other pain and possible serious issues.
  • Make sure that your chair is at the right position to help prevent back problems in the future.
  • Other techniques to reduce glare include use of optical glass glare filters, light filters, or secondary task lights
  • If your wrist hurts frequently while typing try the Dvorak keyboard setup.
  • Get a timer application to remind you when to take a break. Take the break when the timer goes off or immediately after the current task. If the task takes long than 10 mins to finish, take the 1-2 minute break.

Thanks for the tips. Flux was shared long time ago, including by me. It's a great software, I'm using it ever since.

Or you invest $120 in http://vision.zeiss.com/better-vision/en_us/products---technologies/anti-reflective-coatings.htmland stare at the screen as much as you want. I have these, eyes stopped burning at the moment I first put them on my eyes. Great stuff

Giving a tips for saving eyes, writes in shite text color :D just saying
By the way, 2-3 days ago I was moving my pc in the other room and my settings somehow were reset, my eyes start to hurt, so I decided to look at the monitor settings. Frequency rate was 75hz which should be the best, changed it to 60 (lowest). The next day there was no problem with my eyes.
Btw I wear no glasses and I litteraly lay on my chair with my legns on my couch 5-10 hours a day EVERY day.

Thanks, good advice for the younger members especially
as the damage they do now will last the rest of their lives

great and useful share i will follow these guidelines thank you for this post :)

Thank you for reminding me about flux! Also, its good if you look away from screen from time to time and if you go for a longer walk each day. Preferably in to nature, away from urbanized world, just to relax.
