Quick SPAM Study - Ranking Web 2.0

Exactly my thoughts now. I was curious if the pure power of spam backlinks could rank a fresh web 2.0. Which was the original idea of this thread. But it seems that the answer is no. It needs more than this.

It can. Pure spam is also other types of BLs like guestbooks, image comments, dirs, social nets, bookmarks, anything under the sun that doesn't care what gets posted.

sorry but your conclusion it completely flawed.

after buying a fiverr gig for mass blog comments and not ranking you conclude that "the pure power of spam backlinks" can't rank sites. but you only tested with blog comments. it must of been in 2011 I think when google totally devalued blog comments, so I have no idea why you based your spamming on making just one type of link and a type of link that has been completely devalued by google. (no PR blog comments not the nice high PR ones).

mass spam does work but to do it you need hundreds of thousands of links from many different platforms, and what works best is in article links so web 2.0, social networking sites like elgg, pligg, and also article directories and any other site where you can submit an article with backlinks in.

don't spread that mass spam doesn't work just because a blog commenting fiverr gig hasn't worked for you.

My fault, sorry. Of course you're right. I mixed it up and wrote it wrong. What I called spam, I thought just the blog comments. Bad expression. However, I didn't say that mass spam doesn't work. Read my post again.

Yes Diversity is must. And it's not only web 2.0 that can rank with spam.. Something here for testers

In my experience, this is not anywhere close to being true. I rank about 6 websites from blog comments alone.

shailzrocks - thanks a lot for so much info man! You gave me a great idea and I'm going to try out a lot of new things right now because of your share. I can't get people asking you for next info, how you do this how you do that, damn people, do you really think that there is one simple guide. He spent a lot of time trying to find a perfect solution and telling us exactly what it is would ruin this method. It looks like some of you guys are thinking that G algorithm consists of a few factors so that if you know his anchors diversity and platforms he uses then you can conquer the serps... there are so many important things that play a crucial role, that even if he would told you every single step, I doubt everyone would rank easily - every site reacts different.

Ahhh everyone is using their GSA's with VPS's and I'm just sitting here, masterbaiting... :)

Before getting back to the web 2.0 I want to share something pretty interesting. At least for me.

Today I read a thread where someone asked about first SEO steps for a fresh new website. You already know the stuff which is considered steady and safe. Like build social profiles (G+, Facebook, Twitter, etc) and slowly create web 2.0s, few manual blog comments, doc shares, .... ...

And don't get me wrong. I know it works and I've been doing it for months for my other sites. But then somebody wrote something like "don't make it too fast.. don't buy 150 high pr blog posts at the beginning" ..

I have actually great experiences with it so far. Look at the picture below. It's about 4,500 exact local searches keyword.

It's about month old new domain with just few articles and about 600-1k backlinks. 100% composed of cheap bulky high pr blog posts.

Right now I'm hitting #16 position for the main keyword, it's also at first page for smaller keywords. I expect the site to increase even more in following days / weeks as the blog posts are still dripping. The site may make about $300 / month on autopilot once it get top positions. So I'm happy for it.

Definitely true that it might get penalized as the backlink profile isn't natural but who cares. Let's see what is going to happen in near future. ;)

** Please note - This isn't the spammed web 2.0 from beginning of the thread as that site is still nowhere to be found.

I did try and didn't get much traffic. I have done around 2-5K GSA links to weebly with 50 pages of content. I get almost no visitors.

The site from my previous post hit #3 position. Now it's dancing between #3 - #6.

I have also made a fresh new web 2.0 where I will try to duplicate my success with cheap blog posts. Stay tuned.

Which site are you talking about ? The first one ( the original web2.0) ? or The other where you showing the effect of buying +1 and social signals in bulk ?

Site from my previous post means the new domain I registered like 1.5 to 2 months ago. And I haven't buy bulk social signals, please reread that post. All backlinks are just blog posts.

My bad, I actually misunderstood when you said : I have actually great experiences with it so far.

Thanks for making it clearer.

I have more experiments in my lab so it can be misunderstood :) Never mind mate, you're welcome.

Any updates on the spammed domain?

In my experience, if I spam a domain it'll get sandboxed for 2-3 months but then it comes back ranking really high out of nowhere

You think the spammed web 2.0? That's still nowhere to be found and I have moved to a new one so I can start with blank backlinks profile again. This time no crappy blog comments will be used.

Very interesting to see your latest results. May I ask whether you mean comments on blogs (blog comments), web 2.0s, or blog posts from a private blog network when you say "cheap high pr blog posts"? Your post #68 made me a little confused as only blog comments really seem as an affordable solution to me unless spun content is used for both web 2.0s and private blog network posts.

And if you don't mind me asking further, were all these 600-1k backlinks just random blog comments with high pr and low obl? Please excuse me if you do mind me asking, you just had me very intrigued with your most recent approach to ranking yet it left me a little confused.
