how much should it cost to pay someone to code me a image sharing website

I am curious as to how much it would cost to pay someone to code me a website that people can upload and share images on, they can also post comments, have profile pages, and all that sort of stuff. I have a bit coded but I'm not very good at coding so it is taking me ages and its probably not very secure so i would rather a professional do it.

My main questions are how much do you think this would cost in general and what that figure would get me, also some good websites to find these people.

Well sites of that nature require some custom coding for sure and my in house web designer is a genius at what he does so shoot me a skype message

You're looking at an hourly rate of $20-$75 from most developers. With that said, based on just the bare minimum you described there's at least 20 hours of work.

There are other developers who charge per job, like me. I find payment for the job much easier than an hourly rate. For me, I would ask $500-$1000.

These rates are just based on my experience. You might be able to find someone who will charge less but that mind include bad quality and bad communication.

Yeah also wordpress has many backdoors, sqli vulnerabilities and its slow, but its the cheapest solution for starting a project like this. You cant risk big money when you dont know how things will be. Also my project isn't quite like your's. I want 1-2 moderators or power members to moderate my site, so I dont deal with image compliants dmca and shiz like that.

Google for something like "front end posting" - there is a plugin I saw that I'm going to use for a community site like yours that seems to do the job. Then make people authors rather than subscribers.
