What do you need those domains for? Do you want to build your own private blog network?

Look for incoming links, check if pr is fake or not, check old content of the domain in archive.org and check if the domain had 301 redirect or not. That's all.

Verify why they let the domain expire in the first place.... if it was making $1000/day they surely would've kept the domain name....

Check on the following first
1. Page Rank
2. Domain Age
3. Majestic Citation Flow
4. Domain Authority
5. Total referring domains/IPs (Majestic)
6. Anchor Text distribution (Majestic) - check for spammy keywords here

After a domain passes the above, manually check what the last site on the domain was using Wayback Machine. If the last site does not look like a spam site, check the top 10 back links (from unique domains). Check if the back links are contextual (surrounded by meaningful text) or if they are site wide (blogrolls, footer links). Contextual links are better.

The Majestic Trust Flow is another metric to be checked. If the domain has this, its great. I do not use this as a first level filter as many good expired domains may not have a high TF.

Would recommend expiring domain over them any day.

Hi !
I have found an expired domain that from the backlinks profile it look like from 2007. It doesn't have much (13 back links in Moz) but it has 1 PR4 and 1 PR2 .So I hope to get a PR3 or PR2. The back links look good and from authority sites (of that niche) .
I went to waybackmachine and last capture is from 2007, no more captures .. so I assume that nobody else (especially any seo for PBN) have used the domain after.
But I can't find information on who.is and if I do site : domain it doesn't show nothing ...but it kind makes sense if it has been dead since 2007

Now my question is .. I buy the domain I put a wp,some related content , eventually add some backlinks and when should I see the PR get updated ? Only in the next PR update or after a couple of weeks it should refresh ?

you should buy expired domain from Page rank 3, then check site in webarchive.org, then check banned adsense
If all is ok then you should buy
