YouTube Ranking changes

I have noticed a lot of videos ranking in my niche with as little as 8 views and only 10 social shares. Title and description aren't particularly optimised and the video is a day old. I see loads of these videos yet I can't rank with 3000 retention views and 100s of +1s. What I did notice are the channels are aged a year or 2 and have a few 1000 sub's. Anyone else finding this? If yes I! Assuming YouTube is changing there ranking factor as retention is too easy to abuse

Are you sure buddy? YouTube made some changes to the view count mechanism in their latest effort to curb view inflation. Keep updated

I know and seeing that services are still available to buy retention views maybe they have changed there ranking factor. Neither of the 2 instant ranking methods have worked today for me either but I hear people still use it

hmm not quite sure whats going on here but when you search for my video it shows 8 views, when you click it it shows 4864 and viral socials shows 2193 which is meant to be live data

hmm it worked for me before, maybe its because youtube didnt update my views on search ill try again

hmm yes i am noticing it is a little harder to rank videos in google for low comp KW too...

Based on what you said, I would say continue drip-feeding high retention views, buy some real subscribers, some social signals and high pr links. Things haven't changed all that much. Yes, youtube seem to have made some changes to view algo, but stuff that used to work still works today (mostly). Keep it simple and consistent.

My video has 12k hr views ( bought 1k from viraksocials ) and 600 +1s and is not In the top 20 yet there are vids up with under 50 views 2 likes and 5 +1s ranking. Got 2kviews on an unlisted vid once that hits 5k I will make it visible and see if that works
