BT's journey to $50/day using adsense

Hi, I am 35y/o and this is my first time to try IM. I am not good writing in english as english is only my 2nd language. So sorry if my grammar is not that good.

I have been lurking BHW for a few months now but this will be my first attempt in creating a site. After reading some journeys I have learned a few about IM. I am creating this journey thread so I can document everything that I will do and so that I can also learn how the IM works. Also to get suggestions from BHW members that can help me when I encounter roadblocks.

My Goal: $50/day
Plan:
buy a keyword research service - DONE
have articles written for me - posting 1-2 articles per week ( Already have 6 articles posted. All are longtail keywords related to my main keyword ).
get a backlinking service from BHW and also combine it with my own backlinking (hopefully someone could shed some light on this one. I am really very confused on this part. Honestly I don't know where to start this one).

I already have listed SEO services that I am planning to avail but I am still open for suggestions. I am also using a thesis theme.

hey, first of all good luck for your jiurney. I was just curious to know that you said you are starting your journey with adsense. But how did you get adsense account since your website is new. So its impossible to register a new account with your website. I want an adsense account. If you can help me in anyway then it will be appreciated.

I don't want to be rude or anything and I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but 1-2 articles per week are just not enough to reach the $50 per day mark with AdSense. Unless you're in a gold mine niche, you should call yourself lucky if you go pass the $1 per day with that low amount of content.

You'd still need a lot more content even if you're talking about other ways of monetizing a website (Amazon, CPA, CB, etc).

Update:

Not much happened today. Site is already indexed and 4/6 of my articles is already indexed.

What I did today is search BHW for SEO services. I also re-read bluematters thread to know how he did his SEO. I can't post link yet. Search for "$100 a day in adsense"

I would say that it all depends on the niche you're in; wherever there's some tough competition you need to step up your game. Something like 'gardening tools' may require one or two posts per day, reaching the 1st or 2nd page after a couple of months using a proper back-linking strategy.

Obviously, things are a lot different if we're talking about the tech niche, where let's say that you'd have to write 10-15 articles per day and upwards. And that's only for appearing somewhere near the 1st page for a search related to Galaxy S4 or iPhone 5S.

Low competition niches have the advantage of not requiring that much fresh content (i.e. 20-30 articles per month) but that also means that there's less money to be made than in others where you have to write that much each day.

As a suggestion, browse through the journey section and check the ones related to AdSense so that you can have a better picture on how much other people had to post for reaching a specific traffic, click through rate, conversion, etc.
