Review of The Service!
The Good:The service was completed, and there are lots of links that are live! The report that they send is an Excel sheet that is well formatted into different tabs, with a table of contents to make it easy to figure out where different types of links may be (Social, Bookmarking, Edu, etc.). Unfortunately, the list of table of contents doesn't actually link to the specific tab. Minor detail, but I've seen it done before and it just makes things much quicker. Set them up that way next time?
There are a high variety of links. If you're of the opinion that using only a set type of links is a bad idea because it leaves an obvious footprint, this is a decent package for you then. This is not in a pyramid or wheel, so all links go to your money page, so keep that in mind. On the positive side, they don't blast you with 1,000s of Wiki links or automated links, which is good. Those would nuke most money pages, this has a much less of a risk to it.
Some high PR domains, just as pitched! Unfortunately, the specific pages are PR: N/A, so, you know, how much benefit there is to the High PR claim is debatable at best.
The Bad: The turnaround time was slower than pitched. I purchased it around the first week of December, but it didn't come back until after Christmas, which was too late to use it for discussions w/ the client in December. It's going to have to go into the January communication now.
ALL of the links except the WordPress.com blogs and the Web 2.0 Properties are NoFollow. Debate amongst yourselves about the true value or lack of value of NoFollow links in relation to the link graph, but I think we can all agree they are significantly less valuable for rankings than ******** links. I think when most people get link building services, they expect the majority to be ********'d; it's part of the value of having someone else find and build links for you.
The Neutral: The target URLs were ranking on the 2nd or 3rd page when I initially checked, and right after the report came back to me on the 27th. They are now nowhere within the first 10 pages of the search results. I am hoping that the pages are just doing the Google Dance right now and will come back later. I understand this is normal. I just wish they'd had better luck up front like some other people's results on here, like the guy who went from #7 to #3. I can't show these results to the client w/ confidence, I will have to wait and see if the pages come back.
Conclusions:
This package is a relatively low risk package that doesn't spam your page with thousands of auto-generated Wiki links or Scrapebox comments. It is not a pyramid or wheel, so all of the links point directly to your money page. Keep that in mind if you've liked the link-masking qualities of pyramids and wheels.
The links are your standard variety of profile links for the most part, and 95% of them are no follow, with little PR on the specific page that is linking to the site (high DA and high PR for the domain though).
There are NO spammy comment links, so I was happy to see that.
Mix of social sites to generate a bit of social proof into the link formula.
So far, I have not seen any positive results, but it looks like the influx of links has temporarily sandboxed my URLs or is in the middle of a Google Dance. I hope they bounce back even higher than starting, soon. I will give it another week or so to see what happens.
