Hello,

I just got an email on my WMT from Google saying the following:

Code:

Google has detected a pattern of artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site. There may be other actions on your site or parts of your site.[/FONT]

So, my question is how do I look for this unnatural links and disavow them so, I can submit to "Request a Review" so, they remove this "manual spam action" from my domain, also what the hell that means?

Thanks and I will appreciate any help,

Its simple. Download the link list from GWT and check which links are bad and disawov them.

There are many link removal services here on the forum you could try if you're willing to spend some money.

You can easily harvest all of your backlinks through WMT, Ahrefs, Majesticseo or Opensiteexplorer. Filter out all of the bad links and disavow them.

The only links to analyze are the links in your GWT. Don't waste time with ahrefs majestic or moz.

Agree with Seljo you can use Disavow links in GWT. Try search: Disavow links

Download your links from WMT.

Go through each one manually and mark the ones they are unnatural and need removing.

Contact the sites requesting link removal.

Disavow them.

Theres a easier way to do it if you have scarpebox. I do it in 1 hour.

Its pretty simple,

Load the list of backlinks to your scrapebox link checker, and see which are still alive, usualy there is about 30-50% dead links(I do not know why google keeps them). Paste these links in your disawov list below the #Links removed.

Check the live link list for PR.I usualy export the checked links with pr to excel, there you can easily sort them and see spam pattern. Copy the links with low pr and paste them under #please disawov the following links, check the rest of the links, for example if you have 100 links coming from same domain, add them under #please disawov the following links. Keep your good links, send the disawov list to google, wait a day or two, file a reconsideration request and your done. I had 100% success in this way.

Please note that your page will slowly start to rank back, but not as strong as before. So then back to link building.

From my experience I don't believe you can judge a good/bad link solely on PageRank.

I manually check every link to be as thorough as possible.

+ I don't want to get rid of an good natural links just because they are on low PageRank domains.

I agree with you on the checking which links are live though. Index services and Google link data is not accurate at all.

pokerjk, I agree with you, I just showed you the shortcut to filter out the crap quickly. Later on you can check the link you want to keep.

It's very easy
Use Disavow tool and remove your unnatural links.

yes use disavow tool or you can contact the owner of the sites to remove the backlinks.

Download a list of links to your site from webmaster tool.
Check the list for any links that violate guidelines on linking then contact webmaster of that site and ask that they are remove the links.
Or else use disavow tool to your remove your unnatural links.
