I have some inner pages hardly kicked by the last penguin and i want to change urls, to create inner pages with similar url , same content but with no backlinks.

f.e. wxw.mysite/black-wigets ---> wxw.mysite/best-black-widgets

Could you suggest me, please, what to do with old/deleted urls to lost all backlinks pointing to my domain ?

- left it as 404
- 301 it to any other website, free subdomain, web 2.0 ?
- any other ideas

thank you

If your intention is to clean up after bad links, then just let them 404. If you 301 them to the new url, you're transferring the link juice and eventual penalties as well.

I thought to redirect them to useless web 2.0 , just for a case

did you got kicked by 15 dec penguin aswell ? If yes, how are you gonna recover your websites?

If anything 404 the page but that won't help much and you are wasting time.

301 will just cause issues to be passed along faster.

When a domain is hit by penguin the fastest way to recover rankings is link removals and a solid disavow. That's how I have recovered in the past with algorithm sites.

- I will try to disavow most of home page bad backlinks
- change urls on new ones and next 404 or 301 old urls to any useless web 2.0 (talking about few inner pages with too many bad backlinks - in total i have about 2000 posts and still many visits on long tails)

But the true is - i will create new website.

Just put a noindex/nofollow on the old page, and copy/paste to a new page. Or just change the URL and forget about it (like I do).
