That's what I'm shooting for instead of a specific money goal.

Main Goals:
Rank #1 on Google
Make Money
Have Fun (I
'm looking at it as a video game where you have to beat other players to level up. I like competition.)

Plan:
No tricks. I just plan on getting there by really, really focusing on content and backlinks. I have a plan for each one. I'll give details of how I'm doing each one as I get there.
Now even though I don't have a specific money goal, I do have a plan on how I'll monetize of course. I'll get to that later on though.

If anyone sees that I'm doing something wrong, feel free to tell me.

Thanks for reading!

Day 1 was yesterday (12/16/2013)
So far I've read guides, done my research, read guides, did more research, did my research on keywords, found a niche, did more research to make sure it was a good one, did research on what people were looking for with this niche, came up with my site idea, and purchased my domain and hosting.

Day 2 is today (12/17/2013)
My focus for today is setting up the site and content.
I took notes when I was doing research and so I already know what type of content I'll be posting and how. Before today is over I should have my site up and running with content.

edit: To give more details. I purchased my domain and hosting with bluehost. I installed wordpress. And one of the plugins I've installed so far that will be helpful is All in One SEO Pack.

Good luck ........ Give More Info what you are Doing for Inputs

ok i'm typing content about the specific keyword right now, but the whole site won't just be on this keyword. there will also be things relating to it on other pages. The domain I chose was broad enough to do this but still had a bit of my keywords in it.

With that said, I have a question! would having related keyword content on other pages effect anything, negatively? or does the whole website have to be based off of that one specific keyword.

The main homepage is on the specific keyword. and then another page. but then on the other pages there will be things related for example...
lets say I was doing my website on... cooking pickles. lets say the main homepage is on cooking pickles, but then the other page is on... idk sucking pickles and another one on selling pickles, but i want to rank number one on "cooking pickles". lol bad example but does that make sense

are you writing your own articles ?

yea i am. ha trust me, i type decent when i have to. writing articles is one of my sources of income right now. i'm just a lazy typer when it's not getting "graded."(meaning on forums and stuff)

We look at it in the same way, it's so much more fun when you play it from that perspective ^_^

Good luck OP!

Thanks everyone!

Good luck, I suggest using SEO by Yoast, and w3 super cache for WordPress.

I'm really liking SEO by Yoast better than All In One SEO. Thank you for suggesting these plugins!

Just a quick update! It's DAY 5 and I am still adding and writing content. I got side tracked with my side job so haven't been able to work on this the past few days for as much as I would have liked. I've mostly been only able to work on it at nights. Yesterday I submitted an article to ezines linking back to my site. I figured I should start that since most of my site is done and some of the articles sites take a bit to approve them. And of course I plan on submitting articles to waaaay more article sites. again if i'm doing anything wrong, feel free to tell me. Thanks for reading!!

DAY 7
So like I said the other day, I haven't been able to work on this as much as I would like to. I get nights if i'm lucky. been busy with my side jobs. School payment for next semester due tomorrow (YAY -_-) so I can't just blow all of my time with this site just yet.. When I do get free time, I write and rewrite articles for my site that I'll be posting on article sites. I also signed up for an affiliate program related to my niche. That will come in handy later.

My goal for this week is to have articles posted on
ezine
articlesbase
goarticles
amazines
articledashboard
articleblast
articlealley
hubpages
isnare
thefreelibrary

and set up pages on
tumblr
blogger
squidoo
live journal
weebly
wordpress

and i'll probably look around for some other article sites and post them when i find them. What I'm going to do is spread posting and setting up these sites out over the week. I won't post the same articles to each one. Each one will have unique content and link back to my site. I think this will work best with my schedule.

Monday 12/23 - articlesbase | wordpress | thefreelibrary
Tuesday 12/24 - goarticles | articlealley | tumblr
Wednesday 12/25 - hubpages | live journal
Thursday 12/26 - isnare | squidoo | article blast
Monday 12/27 - weebly | blogger | articleblast

only 3 per day because i'm also going to create more articles on those days for those sites to post in the future. For instance, monday i'll sign up for articlesbase and the freelibrary and make a wordpress blog. I'll post content on those 3 sites. And then i'll make a folder in one big folder and have a folder for each one of those. I'm going to write more articles and keep them in these folders to post on these sites in the future. idk if this is the best way to do it, but i guess i'll see...
