Hey guys,

I have a website, but using free hosting, now I want to switch over to a paid hosting.
I was reading a lot about some provider and I got confused asking myself which one could work out for me.

Im doing CPA and mostly I am in the gaming niche.
I dont offer keys, cracks or full games so its nothing ilegal i think.

the webhost should be cheap and it would be great if i would get a free domain.

can u name a nice one?

Best breed is Godaddy and Ipage .. check their monthly and yearly packages plus you will Get 500 USD Free.

Avoid hostgator, personally their customer service has been the worst I have experienced by far. They are very slow to respond to support tickets (most have been around 4-6 days) and when I finally get a reply its mostly some template reply asking for me to contact them with some extra info, and then they will take ages to respond again.

Also their billing system has been awful for me and several times has taken my money for a domain I purchased but it never gets added to my account so I have to go through the whole bad customer service process again just to get what I paid for. I am currently in the process of moving my domains to other providers.

They have also had several large outages this year so far which was very frustrating.

EDIT: its also worth checking out this sticky http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ning-before-you-recommend-hostgator-read.html

HostGator is quite terrible -- and they have been dropping from the charts for years. They are popular, which is why most people go to them. Personally, I believe their prices a bit high, and support is quite terrible...

Hostwinds I've tried out, and have been good so far! Fast loading times, and their servers aren't bogged down (resellers are not, shared hosting looks a little heavy but probably not maximizing CPU).

IF you are doing nothing illegal, maybe check out InMotion Hosting. The reason for this is because I was looking, found a coupon code, and then another code and used it! For a year, I get unlimited hosting (25 domains max) for $20. Now, the coupon has expired, but the sales rep gave me a personal link (linked to my domain, so it can't be shared) which is what I used and worked!

Look up their reviews and there is one site where they have 2,000 reviews and not one is negative. Other hosts are listed there, and some are negative. It's a great company! I'm not willing to risk my account so I won't personally put PPD on their business hosting. However, CleanFiles hosts a dedicated server with them and has no issues.

This isn't a advertisement, and I don't work for InMotion (although I'm seriously considering it). :P It is just a great hosting company that I didn't know about lol.

I also have Hostwinds! Right now, they are good. I use their reseller plan. :)

Hi,
I think you can use German hosting as i got excellent service in every way. What ever type of site (must be legal) you can start with it if you want hassle free service and lightening speed server.

Thanks

Anyone tried namecheap ?

I'm looking for a host too, for a new project of mine so....

Linux/Cpanel/Softaculous enough cpu/bandwidth to get something started...Or if it ever picks up a bit more than expected before going dedicate (sorry for bumping inti your thread mate)

Anyways if anyone can help both of us ?

Thanks

Hey friends!!!!!!!
Go with hostgator plan............

Thanks

Hostwinds offers pretty good service, highly recommended.

imho hawkhost is one of the most reliable. good support and external backups included.

i have read that you want to pay for it now, but maybe you dont have to pay for it - if you get the right free hosting service? one that has full service, no barriers, good support etc...

i use php-friends.de, they have cheap affiliate partner for domains -
you get the hosting for free,
fast bandwith, hosted in germany
if you need a domain you can use your own/or buy a cheap one at their partners

AND: they have a paid subscrition plan (planned/beta stage) that gets you cheap vservers
or really large filespaces (larger than the free accounts - which are very large too)

ps. i use their service - im not affiliated -> they have a twitter account, a support mail where you can ask them and a 24h fast ticket service if you are member

I totally fucking agree on that !!

I have actually gone off them for domains now too. I have had several domains expire which was only due to expire next August, and as Godaddy piss around taking days to answer my email with automated bullshit responses, I am losing money, and no doubt my search positions.

Oh anyway as for hosting, you could not even host a website which was nothing but plain text, without it taking ages to load. I agree with Hostwinds, if you are looking for value and service combined.

Hello Nakmura,

First of all , you are in the community and can;t use words like f*uk etc.

For my opinion don't go with godaddy at all because I have also suffered many problems there, they unconditionally charge don't know why. l am going to switch
