Buying/generating blog comments?

Hi guys,
currently working on a project of mine that will require perfect execution and lots of attention to the details. This thread is about one of the details I need to pay attention to.

Is it possible to buy/generate/fake comments for a Wordpress blog I own? Like positive review comments on a product I'm promoting?
Haven't used WP in a while, but is it still possible to create a couple of accounts in the admin area and simply log in to these and post a comment with each new account?

Yes you should still be able to add comments to your wordpress blog without issue as another user (if you set the blog to require users to register to post).

Go to Settings --> Discussion and you should be able to choose who can comment there. If "Users must be registered to comment" is unchecked then you can forget about the creation of accounts and just put random names and comments. Of course if you register dummy accounts it makes it look as if your site has committed followers.

You can also find people here to review your post and paste actual quality comments. If you are paying them they will be inclined to leave positive ones at that and, who knows, maybe even give you some pointers on your mistakes outside of the comment.

And why exactly would I have to use proxies or bots? It's my own blog hosted on my own webspace. I don't get why you recommend to be this cautious for a couple of faked comments on my own website. Why would I go through this much trouble using proxies and/or bots?

Same question. Why would I pay people to comment if I can simply do it for free within minutes? Am I missing something here?

the proxy im not too sure on as it will be in your backend so technically no one should really know. However as to the paying other people to comment its a matter of convenience. If you write not only all the blog posts but also the comments some people will tend to notice the same writing style.. Not to mention if you have 100+ posts and you want to comment on each. lets say you make 5 comment on each post (and answer each one as yourself) you are looking on 500+ comments. It can get tedious. If you can offload/outsource it to someone that charges $1 - $.50 per comment then you get to worry about spending your time marketing and creating more content. They are just options however you can choose to do it all yourself but you want to always consider just how much time you have and how much it is taking just to knock out comments. And if you need to continuously post comments if you want to be seen as active (It cant just be post 2 on each and forget about it as that may not look real enough). Of course you could just say to hell with it and market and hope for real comments immediately.

I get what your point is, but that's nothing to worry about in my case. The website contains one post, that's it. So just one post that needs to be commented on.

You may also say your about 10 friends to visit your blog and tell them to comment on your post.and also say to tell their friend to visit.Automatecly they also can comment on your blog.

don't worry about generating comments bro,as soon as yor site becomes a bit popular you will be flooded with comments in wordpress(99% spam comments) though

I get what your point is, but that's nothing to worry about in my case. The website contains one post, that's it. So just one post that needs to be commented on.

Everyone has a point and at least 'from one runway' it doesn't make sense to higher freelancers or use proxies and bots to make comments "on a single blog post". Nonetheless, what you should note is that real readers insentiently know if a comment is genuine or not (the trend with bots and dishonest comments have not helped either). The more appealing way is to hire different freelancers or get your friends to leave comments.

Additionally, since you have just one post, the importance of coming off as genuine can not be waived.
