completely stuck on what to do next

Before the flaming begins, I can assure you that I am not seeking some get rich spoon fed system.

I have been an on and off active member for quite some time and have read and reread a ton of advice given here.
BTW, its quite awesome that people take the time to share their money making ideas.

My problem is that I suffer from severe depression and I used to be able to do anything I set my mind to, but ever since I became disabled and pretty much lost everything, I cant get back to being me again, so I just stare at the screen and nothing ever gets done.

It seems the more I try to motivate myself, the less it helps, ironically though, I have been hired by a few guys here and there to do tasks for them with their websites and such, and did an outstanding job.
I am a very smart guy, but am in this hole so far deep I cant figure out how to get out and am tired of being dead broke.

Any advice would be much appreciated, and thanks in advanced.

maybe look for adhd medications, they do wonders so I'm told, i guess its better than banging your head against the wall because of pain in the ass clients, you could hurt yourself!

living as a freelancer sucks bigtime, doesn't matter whether you make money or not. If you don't have a product, you are just working to make others rich. With freelance you can make a living, but can't get rich. Think about making products, or may be try some affiliate business atleast. For example, make a landing page for some clickbank product, instead of making websites for others. Make 100s of those. Yes, it will take time and some money to be spent, but I bet one will become viral.

I am not sure about your disability, so I won't recommend you to get a 9-5 job, but do that as well if you can. Once you are in a 9-5 job, you will have social life and thus, lesser prone to frustration / home-sickness. Once you are back normal, quit the job and try harder.

Well as I can tell you are a member here for a while and I would suggest that you go over some older threads and find method that suites your computer skills best and see if it works for you, then go for another one and see how that one works for you and DO it like that until you find something that will make money for you. Key is in DOING things, I find sometimes myself doing nothing but going into circles for days and then just do one big slap into the face of myself and start working on first thing that comes to my mind.

On the real issue though, if your disability does not stop you, my advice is to focus on meeting new people and spend time outside the house. Find activity groups and enrol, even if they sound boring at first - you 're not going there to learn how to knit anyway

Staying away from the computer will help your drive come back.

OP, I have had severe depression for the last 10 years.

I really suggest you see a Doctor for a proper diagnosis, if you have not done so already.
Although I hate going to the Doctor and it took awhile to find the right medication for me, it has helped.
They may be able to refer you to some counselling and advice groups.

I realise things can be very hard for you but don't be too hard on yourself.
Take things slowly and try to accomplish something everyday no matter how small.

You said you have been hired by other people to work on their sites, rather than doing that, why don't you try building your own site?

If I was in your shoes ... first thing is to get checked out to make 100% sure you know how best to manage whatever issues your having and what is the way forward.

Next I would make a site about the problem - and discuss on my site all the things your experiencing and turn it into an authority site -- then monetize with adsense .. I know this won't get you rich quick -- but I'm sure people experiencing similar issues will be very loyal traffic to your site ... I see this as a $1000-$1500 a month type of site .. at least its a start.

I'll try to answer the questions.

Working a regular job is not an option, at least not in the near future.
I don't even have a winter coat nor even a weeks worth of clothes.
There is just much to explain, but in the end, I have serious issues from a car accident that went untreated and snowballed into even more problems, I finally got approved for medical, and transportation to see a doctor for my neck, "I cant turn it to the right very far"
I see him on the 19th.

But before that, I was seeing a mental health doctor, an they tried me on a few different things, the last thing screwed me up bad.
Made me actually worse, so I don't even wish to try anything else.

I even stopped taking the heart meds my other doctor has me on because it was suppose to slow down my heart rate but its made it faster and gave me insomnia and I am a complete wreck, I am not scheduled to see him until January.


Thanks again for the replies and sorry for the drama, I just don't have anyone to talk to in real life and needed to vent.

Op i think your problem is NOT TAKING action.

You see, i registered in 2011 and thought i would be making $$$$ online. I only read everything and never took action, so i wasnt making any $$$$.

Fastforward feb 2013 and started to take some action, took im as a hobby. On may i was fucked i xidnt make peanuts after sending 30k+ clicks to adult cpa offers!! Ye! Not a sale nor lead!! So then idecided to start talking to people to dicuss strategies to the point of making friends ( or at least i think so : ).

Anyway, fastforward to date and i am not earning what i would like to, but at least im working on getting things done to try and see $$$ coming daily!

In the end, take action and dont stop even if you face some temporary failure!

I agree with Royserpa about taking action. Maybe you just need some good ole motivation. Try to visualize your life as if you were already incredibly successful. Just do something that gets you pumped up about taking action. That's what I do if I catch myself just staring at my screen. Look up the law of attraction. Yeah it may be hogwash but it's really motivating.

One thing I have found is that just keep doing hard work. You can't say what will work or what will not. I have made money from things which I thought will not make money and the things which I thought will make me tons of money... earned me nothing..

Stop listening to the other people and just stick to one thing and especially your mind... I can see your depression is not making money. Go get a job .. and keep doing IM aside may be in night... The problem here is not having a reliable source where you can get money....
