Homepage Meta Description Question

Hi guys,

I am using the Yoast SEO plugin on a WP site.

The problem I am having is that my meta description on G is always taken from my latest post. Obviously that is no good for ranking my primary keyword as my meta is always changing (I think I am right in saying that it's not good to optimize every post for a primary keyword).

Is there a way to set a permanent meta description and is that indeed what I should be doing?

In fact, Meta Description doesn't have any influence on your website rankings. If Google doesn't consider it to be relevant to a search query, the search engine will make a snippet on its own.

The only factor Meta Description can influence on is CTR.

Anyway, you can easily fix that by editing the template of your WP-based site home page.

In Yoast ?

Go into your Yoast dashboard--go to "titles and meta"-- then "home"---set your titles and meta.

yoast is premium there is someone has dowloand file for free , i dont have money to buy the plugin
or if there is plugin similer like yoast write it to me please , thank you
