I seriously need help.

To better inform you let me explain my situation. I am a college student currently living with my parents. I am taking 15 credits while working about 30 hours a week at the a Home Depot. This is the first job I have had where I make decent money, before I was at Wendy's getting minimum wage.
I do not spend a ton of money and after working for about 2 months had like 1k saved up. Seeing that I had a lot of money saved I started looking into way to "grow my money." It started with me enrolling in a program where I purchase HD stocks at a discounted price, and I give 5% of paycheck into that. I also started a 401k with them with 5% being the number also.

Making money online has always interested me. I think this is because I am very competitive and after watching a video by robert kiyosaki realized that I simply want "to win." A few years ago I did a little binary options trading but gave that up when I realized it was basically gambling. And if I was going to gamble Id rather do it with something I know like sports, not stocks.

Flash forward to this spring. This is when I found the Instant Payday Network. This intrigued me because it made sense and had virtually no start up costs. However after doing that hard for about 3 months and only getting one 25$ sale I realized that I had got on too late and for the most part it was being phased out. It also would pay me when people I refereed completed offers. I now think that if I could have had a simple sales page I would have made more.

I also did many more methods. I have tried youtube monetizing of fight videos but have had very little success. My first month I got 75$ primarily due to a bonus from google. I than got 2.76$ one month and than 1.26$ the next.

What sort of make me mad. OK not mad but perplexed is that if I could have found the right method and put in the same amount of work, I probaly would be better off. If I had spent the same amount of hrs at my work(not that I could have) I would have made about 500$.

I am not giving up. I havent lost alot of money, luckily. I am simply looking for better options. I want a method that requires a lot of work and effort but pays well. If if I have to spend money than so be it. I guess you could say I want the equivalent of a real job if that exists.

So to sum things up I am not looking for the easy way out. I just want to find a method that requires alot of time and effort but pays somewhat proportionately to time spent working. I dont want some exploit or system, just an honest way to make money.

You could have just gone with the shorter version and more popular "How Do I Make MOney Online" thread. I do like your style of dressing up the question however. I believe that people make money online when they find something which personally suits them, and not something which they try at with no interest.

Then continue with your 9-to-5. If you're not willing to make the sacrifice of long hours and zero-to-none pay initially you're not gonna make it. I remember when i started in IM the first year I had to do my IM stuff as well as freelancing work on the side to be able to pay for my monthly expenses. Now, couple years later, I'm pulling out quite nice pay every single month. Sure I still have to work on that and look for new ways to generate even more income, but as I have found my niche and the methods that do work I can focus more on experimenting with other stuff.

This stuff doesn't happen overnight, especially if you have no clue what you're working on. Niche and method wise, I mean. Until you find the one that works for you, you just have to keep on trying. What works of me might not work for you. As much as I loathe saying that you "need your own twist in it", that is true.

it seems that you write pretty well, so why not make a couple of sites and monetize them with different combinations i.e. clickbank, amazon, adsense? i'm new myself but i've seen with my own eyes, how much money a friend who has more experience in IM than me, make via clickbank and amazon.

or check out cpa or ebay? there's LOADS to read and research on each of these methods though, no matter how simple they may seem.

btw, how many views did your fight videos get? and why do you say that google gave you a bonus. the reason im asking is because i used to monetize youtube videos like you and achieved minor success before getting greedy and banned. but i now know that it is actually possible to make $ from the combination of adsense ads on youtube vids, so i'm looking at doing it again soon.

I would suggest finding something people need, and make some money offline first. You can creative, there are people out there that sell animoto videos for $20.00 to small business's. You can also try selling 7878's review method. You can also hook up with an seo company and send referrals their way, or cold call and generate leads for them. You can go to garage sales, on sundays at the end of the day and buy/sell stuff. You can do logo design, just outsource the work. There are tons of ideas out there, go brew up some coffee, and get to reading. Just remember sell what people need.

I personally had a dream to sell walkaround videos to motorcycle dealerships, the next morning I woke up and cold called through the phone book. Then I got lucky and got my first client pretty much the next day. Wound up shooting/editing/uploading the videos for ten bucks a piece. I didn't have a car, or a laptop so I took the bus with my PC tower to the dealer, and shot/edited the videos on site. The key thing right now is also lead generation. Find a way to produce quality leads for a business, and you will have money for life. I mean screw it, you can go to car dealerships and offer to take pictures of there inventory for them for dirt cheap. So many ideas out there, all the affiliate marketing stuff takes time to get paid. I would suggest looking in commission junctions pay per call program or something like that. You are in a position, where you are going to need to sell yourself. Honestly just get out there and do it.

I think that the biggest mistake is to think "online" means somehow "magic money". Online is just another mean, vehicle to contact people or to exchange value for value. You have first and foremost to get the right mindset, which is: What can I create in terms of value? How can I deliver that value?

Most of us (me included) started out: I want to make money > Internet=easy > Do Survey shit, send out spam with useless CPA offers, trick and bullshit your way "to the top". Results: ZERO + Frustration.

I am more and more taking a few steps back and thinking in terms of:

> Who has a problem???
> Can I solve that problem or contribute to the solution? How?
> How can I create or find value and put it in front of two pairs of eyes that value that even more?

With this mindset / approach I am dropping tons of stuff that I have been doing. If I deliver that value online or offline or through aliens, that is secondary. Your main problem is that you have to shift your thinking.

Someone giving you money (value) means he got something far more valuable. Thinking like this shows you that there is a huge, endless market out there - people - real people have problems. Do you have the guts and balls to run and find them a soothing, calming, genius or simple solution that they haven't come up with by themselves?

Another thing: if everybody can do it, then it is not worth your time and energy. You will be fighting and elbowing your way to a couple of Dollars with millions of others on the Internet. Be unique, let your personality shine through, become a better - no - THE BEST solution provider there is. Don't limit yourself to copy cat some method off some forum. Read up on the method and ask yourself 3 questions:

1. Is this some Bullshit that doesn't work? Test it or drop it.
2. WHY did this method work? What where people seeking to make the method work?
3. How can I make this method better, unique or tap into the real reason why it worked? Don't get bogged down with the details (I couldn't believe how people had the nerve to ask 7878 if they should use a red plastic ball pen or a green plastic ball pen - stupid questions like that) The core with the 7878 method was: business owners have a problem/pain. He presented them a quick fix. Money in the bank.

Hope this helps. I am making this mindset change myself - Karma has a way of telling you, no, yelling at you that what you are currently making is not good, because of the return it gives.
