Need ideas for a new Wordpress plugin

I'd like to start developing plugins for Wordpress but don't have any ideas on what to make.

So I'm asking for ideas really. Has anyone any ideas on what might be popular?

I don't know if one exists but I'd like to have a plugin that sends a pre-compiled SMS to a single cell-phone number after the site receives a new purchase order, and also simultaneously prints the order. (Or someone may please give me a php code for it).

I think it would be very hard to create a plugin that could actually do that without any errors but the idea is nice, I would buy it too.
