[FAQ] All About Associated Content

There are so many of the same questions about Associated Content submitted every single day. Beginners often don't bother to read any threads, so I've created this thread which should answer a lot of the basic questions. Note that I will only BRIEFLY cover things that are available on Associated Content's FAQ - which you should ready first.

1. What is AC?

Associated Content (AC) is a community run website where members submit content (articles, audio files, pictures, and video). Users that submit content are then payed for their work.​

2. How much do I get paid?

There are two ways of getting paid from submitting content onto AC. The first way is an "Upfront" payment. Associated content will pay anywhere from $0.99 to - $20 per unique articles that you write. The average price for an upfront payment is between $2.00 - $3.00. The second payment method is "Performance Pay" where you are payed per 1000 unique views on your submitted article. The average payment per 1000 views is currently $1.50.

3. Account Verification

Before you can be payed on Associated Content you must verify that you are an American citizen via phone. If you are not an American, you can partner with someone on forums who will verify your account for you. Chances are you will pay between $5 and $10 to get your account verified by a BHW user.​

4. Taxes

You can earn up to $600 per account tax-free. After you have reached this amount you will be forced to submit a W8-Tax form. Unfortunately, if you are not American (or if you want to avoid paying taxes - which is against federal law) you will have to stop at $600. To continue earning money you will have to create a new account which is detailed in the next section.​

5. Multiple Accounts

You will need multiple accounts for two reasons: 1) You can submit more articles per day. 2) Avoid submitting Tax form. When making multiple accounts, be sure to use different IP addresses (I recommend HotSpotShield - Google it!) and unique PayPal email addresses. Remember, you can add up to 8 email addresses onto a single bank account. Be sure to always be using a proxy when submitting content through multiple accounts to avoid being terminated.​

6. How many articles can I submit a day?

There is no exact limit. Some users claim they've submitted up to 20 per day without being banned, but most people recommend submitting 10 at most. If you are submitting quality content, there is no reason you should be banned.​

7. How can I earn more money on each article?

Article payments are based on a few factors: originality, grammar & spelling, and length. Try to find a niche that has little content written on. For example, writing about the economy will NOT give you a good upfront payment due to heavy saturation. Finding a niche is important for making money through any method - not only AC. Do not ask what to write about, that is for you to find out.

Perfect grammar and spelling wont give you more upfront payment but it's required to get your article accepted. Using complex sentence structure, and descriptive language, on the other hand, will give you a higher upfront payment. The same goes for length. You article must be at least 400 words, but an articles of 700 words probably wont make anymore money if the content is similar.​

8. OMG ITS TAKING FOREVER FOR THEM TO ACCEPT PAY ME!!

This question is asked many times each day and the answer is always the same - just wait! It doesn't matter if someone was accepted in 4 days and you've been waiting 2 weeks, you need to be patient. If however, it's been longer than 2 week, I recommend contacting them.​

9. What is Copyscape?

Copyscape is a service that Associated Content uses to check that your article is unique. It is recommended that if you are re-writing (or copying) articles from books or other sources that you check via copyscape. Else you run the risk of being banned.​

10. Are there any Alternatives to Associated Content?

Good attempt and I'm sure this info will be useful to some, but why not just post this?

That is most of the questions people ask and are answered directly from AC. Also, your post was incorrect in a few spots, like w-8 instead of w-9 form for the IRS and you said people could make up to $600 per year when in reality they can only make $500 before w-9 needs to be filled out. Oh well, good effort!

Instead of complaining, please add onto to it. That way, when some idiot asks a question over and over we can simply post a link to this thread. We need to work together to make a questions list - as most sites do. One person can't do it alone

Also, cskqsquad, if you actually read my post, it clearly states that they should read the F.A.Q. before reading my post and before posting a new thread.

Thanks for the info. Good tip about Copyscape. It saved me from getting an instant reject and possible ban for my...rewrite:banana:

Aside Copyscape you may also use Dupecop to check for uniqueness.....I maintain at least 50% uniqueness

I do read...Anyway, if your article is passed by copyscape, what are the chances it will get banned? "In case, the checker managed to recall he read it somewhere..."

This thread should be stickied... There are a lot of information contained here to help newbies to earn money via AC...

Think about it this way, if a lot of newbies flood the forum with the same questions all the times, then it would be hard for the rest of us to find good info on making money...

Rather depends on quality. If your article is good it will be accepted even if it is less then 400 words.

I have a question about multiple emails on the same paypal account.When they do payment won't your name(with paypal) be shown on the log and be flagged as multiple accounts?? Does anybody actually use multiple email adresses linked to the same PayPal account??
