Anyone try buying expired domain traffic?

I was browsing yahoo and came across many websites that are selling expired domain traffic. You can purchase say 5,000 targeted visitors and they will send them to the site you choose instead of the expired domain (based upon your selected niche) Just wondering if anyone has tried this sort of advertising before and the results?

Yea they are using redirect method. You simply put your link in and select a category (they have over 100 to choose from) and supposedly they get someone else to review your site to target it even more. It cost me $21 for 5,000 targeted visitors. (I am trying a debt consolidation site). What really interested me also is that there are no stupid popups, banners, pop-unders, etc. its the person being directed right to your site from the expired domain. I paid yesterday, still waiting for them to set it up.

I tried this about 6 months ago, I don't remember the website I purchased from.

Sent traffic to my squeeze page. Received absolutely zero optins

Also suspicious because traffic would appear instantly over very short time span.

Bottom line: In my Honest Opinion the traffic was simply a software bot running up the counter.

Again, That was my personal experience.

yup. i think i got scammed too. my affiliate link is getting tons of hits. already over 1000 in like 2 days.

so yea its prolly a bot, and im pissed. im gonna file a claim through paypal just for the hell of it to piss the company off.

o well, learned my lesson.
