i just checked one of my websites and it went from PR0 to PR2

How can be there PR without any backlinks mate. Your PR could be fake..

Google was updating their PR algorithm once in every 6 month (average). So I think it updated twice this time thats what you got 0 to 2 PR.

just checked my site, from PR1 to PR5, but still being outranked by some PR0 and PR1 sites. PR is only matter for buying/selling links.
As a member here once said "I need traffic, not a green bar".
