How to cloak affiliate links properly?

I followed Yoast's guide to cloaking affiliate links. On WordPress, I installed the Redirection plugin, set up all my target affiliate links to redirect (302), and made clean-looking source URL's which include the product name.


However, when I click my affiliate hyperlinks (text and pictures), it doesn't show my custom URL.


Any idea how to fix this problem?

Does it show your cloaked url when you mouse over it or the target aff. link? Try pretty link plugin. Works good for me and there are youtube videos w/ instructions if you need them.

WP Traffic Tools is good paid option with extra cloaking and redirection tools.

Not sure I really understand the problem you are having... I use redirection plugin on a lot of sites and never had an issue.

Yes, I mean the address URL after the forward slash, like this: ".com/???"

I hope that makes it more clear.
