Bounce rate actually means how long the visitor stays on your website. If visitor comes and leave your website then most probably you will be seeing bounce rate higher.

If you are having high bounce rate then your site rankings might hurt. To reduce it, make your content catchy as well as put videos that makes user to stay on your page for longer period of time.

The percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page.If the bounce rate is less then the website usage is really high.

100 visitors come to your website and leave it after opening only one page = 100% Bounce Rate
100 visitors come to your website, 50 leave and 50 stay and open another page = 50% Bounce Rate
100 visitors come to your website, 20 leave and 80 stay and open another page = 20% Bounce Rate

High Bounce Rate = BAD
Low Bounce Rate = GOOD

It doesn't really affect the website much, but it shows how interested your visitors are in your website. If you have a high bounce rate, then try adding related posts or something else that will catch their eye so they go to another page.

Bounce Rate represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site. It is calculated as the Total number of visitors viewing one page only/Total entries to the page.


Anything 50% or above is not good! Around 20-25% -bounce rate is something really good but difficult to get! Usually SEO experts may help you with this..
