Do you guys prefer affiliate networks or in-house affiliate program?

on the condition that commission ratio of in-house is higher than affiliate networks.

Tell me your ideas :)

Well, if you have the " know how" than in house would more than likely would be more profitable. However, using another affiliate network is more simpler and easier generally speaking but it really just comes down to preference and what you're wanting to do.

More commissions should be a no brainer as long as you can get the affiliates to promote your product.

ok, thanks. Is in-house difficult for publishers to understand?

depends on experience

running your own group of affiliates can result in tonnes of fraud risk.

there are alot of people that know alot about credit card fraud and tricks - that can end in chargebacks and problems for you.

so using a company to manage affiliates and have them weed through the trouble ones maybe worth it for many people.

anyway just wanted to point this out - and its like of putting a target on your forehead if you dont know enough at this point.

Even if you are using a secure processor to process payments from your website like a Paypal?

CPS also take risk of credit card?
but the order will get a time to give the commission.
if payment is not made successfully, merchants will void the commission.

Affiliate networks provide some sort of safety, big networks usually won't disappear with your money overnight. Commission % is a big deal, but after getting screwed over at least 5 times in the last 16 months I now take reliability into consideration a lot more than before.

ok.....internet money is not safe really. Trust is the big enemy of in-house affiliate program.
