As Twitter users are generally in 'information seeking mode' as opposed to 'buying mode', I've found that Adsense has been by far my best money earner.

Things such as affiliate sales, hasn't worked very well at all, however I can't say I've really tested this to the limit. It's been limited by a few CPA offers and Amazon.

Just opening up to suggestions from you guys (perhaps from your own experience) to what you think could work well with Twitter traffic. I do have a lot of followers (over 1 million), so looking to start something which doesn't rely on Adsense (chickens & eggs).

why don't you sell tweets to get some extra cash or if you got good number of real followers you can provide real followers .Sell them on fiverr or marketplace or make a vine website and monetize it with adsense.

I've been informed by Twitter that it's against their TOS to profit from a single tweet. In other words, I can't tweet something and get paid for it. I guess that's why things such as TweetPeddler have been blocked by Twitter. Some people are getting away with it, but that's only until Twitter catch them and suspend their account. I've even seen accounts get suspended, for what only can be down to them using MyLikes - because they're earning off each click.

As per my OP, I'm trying to monetize without Adsense. What's a Vine Website?

Do you think Review sites can work, if I can get them to leave an email, or register with the site to get alerted on various products and market to them in the future days/weeks/months - and not necessarily immediately?

Review site won't work, your traffic is ADD and mobile, the second they don't see images or something interesting from their phone they'll x out of the twitter web browser...

Adsense is your best option period, but it's a risky game, disguise your site as an authority site with galleries as a small part of the site, but still send all the traffic to the galleries. Or just have a mixed stream of Adsense income (other sites).

I agree and disagree with you saying Review sites won't work. I agree, they won't work short term, as people on Twitter are generally not in Buying Mode, but I disagree that it won't work long term.

Twitter will bring traffic where people will subscribe and give me their email addresses, leave their own reviews, get involved in our forum etc, so I'm confident Twitter traffic will result in sales indirectly - maybe not immediately, but via things such as email marketing.Adsense is great for me, but it's the eggs and basket scenario, hence the thread. Twitter will also help with social signals and get people to our other social media such as Pinterest, Youtube, Facebook et al.

I was just posting on the off chance someone had found another great way of monetizing via Twitter short term, so I wasn't solely relying on Adsense.

You've gotta just treat your Twitter traffic like a ragdoll.

Just throw & push it wherever you'd like it to go.

whats wrong with adsense if it "has been by far my best money earner."
if something is working, then keep doing it. simple.
just make sure you have your own sites where YOU control the traffic.
CPM pays too low unless you have A LOT of pageviews, CPC (adsense) is fine, mediadotnet PPC pays nothing, and people on twitter aren't in the buying mentality like you said yourself.
adsense and CPA are your best options bro.
set up a site and monetize it with targeted CPA banners if you are un-happy with adsense.
adsense usually pays the best though because it's has the most competition, it does good for me.

Lol, I think you've mis-read my OP. I've never said I'm unhappy with it and I never said I'm going to stop doing it. But I like to look further ahead and relying on 1 income stream is not the way to go, unless it's absolutely 100% secure - which Adsense isn't.

CPA seems to be the best 2nd option, although I've tried that in the past and didn't do great at all.

Did you figure out a new way? Even i have over 3 million followers but i've got no way to monetize them except using my friends adsense account and website since i dont have my own. Please give me some suggestions too!

Nah, I'm now building a huge website which won't rely on Twitter traffic (although it'll still be a significant traffic method) with the thinking of saving most of my Adsense income and using some to invest into my new business.

Test mobile app downloads, Geenapp give you a link that monetize iOS, Android and Windows apps in a single link. They have +300 apps to promote, in 250 countries.

Ive found that social media pays best with adsense, but if youre trying something new, than maybe mylikes, or simply selling tweets might be your thing.
