Basically my day job and I went our separate ways recently. Yea, it's a weird feeling. I can always go back, I can't always go forward. I want respect, I'm here to get it myself. As of right now, I am putting my full attention into this to progress as quickly as possible. My offline venture took a good amount of time last week. This is not about the money, how ever we all have bills to pay. Going from an above par salary job, to setting out on my own which provides my motivation. You can always learn, you can always improve. Live the life you have always dreamed of, life is yours to create.

I have been on here reading for the past couple months. My niche is determined, I'm about to start to put together some good content. I greatly enjoy doing the niche and it is a low comp niche. I'm working on getting the website designs finished up, while working on 2-3 other sites. I already launched an offline campaign in the meantime. I would like to do CPA, Affiliate, and PPD. I am no expert and I will have some questions here and there. Hopefully some of you can guide me a long. I rather do and learn.

I plan on doing a test a landing page, to test any techniques that I?m new to. So if anything does go wrong I can get to the bottom of it. I am also taking this one step at a time, as I am new.

The setup.

Domain and Hosting-probably hostgator- since I'm new
Blogger (.com)
Social Media-Instagram/facebook/pinterest/Youtube
CPA and Affiliates- Now to attempt to get approved create two or three sites using test ads. Apply. Now the only reason why I am asking is I want to do this as soon as possible. Did I make mistake picking a niche, prior to having CPA and Affiliate accounts? **** I'm going to move forward and make content, I don't want to waste any time. If someone could just confirm the process of picking a niche prior correct or wrong, I do not like to waste time.**** (I looked around CB products and I?m not certain I?m interested.) Again I've checked keywords, long and short tail.
SEO- When the time comes.

Content

Build a page people will really enjoy
High quality Content
Build long term relationships
Build Value
Answer questions
Post valuable Techniques
Explain the techniques in video
Offer a solution

I know what I?m doing when it comes to photoshop and final cut pro x, so this seems as though it will help. If you had any tips, suggestions, or can further explain the process. It would be greatly helpful, any further questions you may ask.

Wish me luck.

Best of luck with your journey. Keep us posted!

Keyword research is kicking my.

Okay, I got a little a head of myself this morning. Until after I posted did I realize, I haven't even come up with a domain name yet. Then I decided to re-check my keywords, I then realized my keyword research made no practical sense.

So I'm in need of some advice.

Let's just say the niche is football for an example. Now I don't want just football, I want to teach college football so "College Football Tips"
How do you gauge your competition for long tail keywords?

Say I did a search for "College Football Tips", as a phrase. Traffic Travis is showing something that looks like this.

Football

Football Websites

Football Schools

Football Jobs

I did an exact search and almost the exact same thing came up. Is there a formula or calculator of how to figure out long tail key words???

Thanks

I owe everyone who looked at that last post an apology, as I'm still learning. I'm still new at this so it is a little difficult for me to transfer internet research to market research. I now have full understanding, I also purchased a domain. I put some content together, so I can hit the ground running when the site is up.

I don't really know who I should host with. I was going to go with gatorhost, all my domains are with godaddy right now. I'm debating transferring them based on a couple threads I read. Godaddy told me I have to wait 60 days from registration to transfer a domain name? Is this true? I really don't know if I want to host through them. They are offering a couple hundred dollars in ads right now as an incentive. Name cheap looks pretty attractive also.

Any recommendations are appreciated, I'll be back after lunch.

Oh added to the budget. I love finding random credits I forgot about.
+$50 in Facebook ads (IF I host with godaddy +50)
+$25 in Adwords (IF I host with godaddy +100)
+$50 in Bing | Yahoo ads (IF I host with godaddy +50)

I prefer namecheap, but it won't kill you if you use godaddy.
And always search for a coupon before buying domains. Namecheap always have a coupon that knocks off $1 or $2, and GD has many coupons available.
For hosting don't use godaddy, they are terrible, and you should never buy hosting and domain from a same company.

Quick update:

The goal right now is $100 per day consistently, which will simply pay my bills.

I've been pulled in all different directions distracting me from a girlfriend having a holiday weekend, anywhere to me moving. I have been working the best I can, thankfully things are getting settled finally.

The site is going to be launched today pending monetization of it. Since this is my first journey, I can't get approved for an Adsense account as my site is only a few days old?

I am going to use a few affiliate products, how ever i'd like to know the best PPC method for fresh sites. Any traffic not seeing advertisements or products offered is a missed opportunity. Content lockers maybe used a bit, how ever I'd really like to establish subscribers and repeat traffic so I have to be careful where I use these with this specific site.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For hosting try Uberspace it's in German but the support speaks english and they are GREAT! FUCKING GREAT! and cheap!

Thank you for the recommendation^
Quick Update:

I ended up going with Gatorhost, with a WP plug in. A lot has changed since the days of writing html on notepad. I have learned a so much in the past couple weeks, to where I am almost embarrassed of some of my first posts. I will leave them it just goes to show you can do anything you put your mind to.

I spent about a day working on the logo, I should have just had my friend who is a graphic designer do it, how ever I had an idea for it and wanted to make it mine. My theory is a nice one of a kind creative logo will draw more attention on social media, than going with a simple logo.

I should not have spent as much time on the logo and ads as I did, how ever I figure nice ads with a nice logo will have a better chance for conversions. Does anyone else design their own ads? Being photoshop savvy, it did not take me but a few hours. The ads I created are high quality, they also present class and exclusivity. To the point where people may not even realize they are ads.

On the offline side of things, I settled my first huge account so that has been keeping me busy. It well exceeds my goal of $100 per day, how ever that goal was for IM. It still stands; the site simply needs the social media hooked up and my content put in and it will be live. Hopefully today I can finally launch it, I am in the process of moving so we will see.

Just a quick update, the blog is launched and has been for a couple of days. I have been extremely busy with other stuff. I thought I would have a little more free time, how ever everything else in life keeps taking it. Right now I'm working on getting the first video on youtube up.

I was focusing on one niche, now I'm quickly starting to gear this blog in a different direction. I may just make another blog for the other micro niche, I haven't decided yet, how ever it is extremely low competition with a very high amount of traffic. I almost couldn't believe my eyes. PPD is going to be my next focus, I just have to keep building links, content, and videos.

Anyone use Adnooka?

I do the same thing all the time where I start a blog and the whole idea gets changed by the time I'm done, but I feel if it's a better niche/keyword it will be worth it.
