Best Wordpress theme for SEO and speed, Thesis 1.8.5?

I am currently using thesis 1.8.5 for all my affiliate sites because its so fast when loading and has such a clean code but I am thinking that it is a bit dated now.
I tried the latest Thesis but heck I aint no developer so I cant use that.

Any suggestions for newer fast loading, clean coded themes apart from genesis?

Elegant themes are great! I use them aswell, and they have fast speeds. just make sure to fix your image sizes.

You're right I am affiliated with Elegant Themes. Only 6 out of what was 24 themes were from Elegant Themes though, so more like one quarter =)

I just updated it; however, to include the fastest themes from StudioPress as well bringing the total up to 36 of the fastest WordPress themes. So now the Elegant Themes portion is only at ~17%. Your post inspired me to be more comprehensive, plus I was already a StudioPress affiliate as well so why not =)

That's insanely fast & responsive, awesome find (page speed grade of A at 99%)! I want to do a post on the best free ones too, but there are so few of high quality like this one. This will be first on my list if I ever get around to making one.
