Dear BHW,

I thoroughly enjoy reading all of your posts. I find them a real goldmine of useful information.
However, I find it troubling that you will not allow noobs like me to respond to private messages other users have sent me.

While I understand you want to avoid spam via pm, allowing people to only reply to incoming messages would certainly not create such problems.
I would like to avoid having to write crappy posts like 'good job' or 'go get 'em bucks' to artificially inflate my post count.

you can start a conversation with another user on his profile

also you can just add your skype id so people who PM you may be able to add you on skype when they see you can't PM them back

enabling PM's for new members will create a Spamtopia :) I actually wanted to propose that new users should not be able to post for ~2 weeks just to stop the "HOW DO I MAKE MONEY ?" threads or just allow them to post in the Lounge and Freebies sections of the forums :)

I think the point here is not to create spammy posts, but to, get to know the forum little more better.

When you post on thread you visit different other sections of BHW and respond to other members, learn some posting options, see how other members are patient and respect the community and fifteen post's exactly teach you that.

This Rule apply to every new member my good friend, maybe you are not spammer, but this does not exclude the possibility that others on the internet are just nice like you .

I find it frustrating too. That and being unable to post links. I'm quite introverted - its against my nature to chat about randomness. When I do find something worthwhile to share (such as links to free udemy courses) I like to share it. However, I understand the logic behind it. Its just frustrating. :(

well you can start doing some research and help other users with their problems...
answer questions users might have but be on topic and do some research

just because you're a new member it doesn't mean your wrong...
marketing forums always need new ideas to not get into a rut

share methods, start a journey thread, read journey threads and ask questions...
RELATED QUESTIONS :)

all these can increase your post count :) and you seem to need it :P

i find it amusing especially when people have been here 6 months
or a year ect and post -- i cant pm i dont have 15 posts
ffs 15 posts of decent quality can be done in a day or 2
no excuses no sympathy

Not everyone is here to offer nuggets, not everyone here has a dumb question. Some people come here looking for a contractor or an SEO guy.

Case in point, guy came and needed help for his E-Comm site, users PM'd him he could not reply. I understand newbs not being able to INITIATE a PM but not being able to reply is silly.

Next question is why dont you exchange emails? Same reason BHW bans them PM'ing in the 1st place. You dont necessarily want a newb to have your contact info until you see what he is talking about is legit.

Only donors can post Visitor messages on others profile. Yellows can only see them :)

Amazing that no more than two people replying in this thread actually understood my suggestion. Thanks, I guess.
Dear BHW,
While I understand you want to avoid spam via pm, allowing people to reply to incoming messages would certainly not create any problems.

Not being able to respond to pm is to prevent new members from opening a thread promoting a spam/scam offer and then receiving a ton of pm from easy prey.

It might be a bit of an inconvenience for legit members, but it helps a lot of newbies from getting scammed. Also, it's 15 posts! That takes less than an hour to do. Read a thread, add a useful answer. This thread took me 40 sec to read, 20 sec to reply (from my phone)

That makes sense, but I really abhor the idea of posting meaningless junk. Guess I'm gonna have to get over it and wish everyone 'good luck' in their journey threads.

Why do you think you have to post meaningless junk, to circumvent the intended wait period?

We may differ in perception but I consider posts saying 'good luck op', etc. to be just extra junk in an otherwise informative thread. But again, I'm looking for information and do not go much into socializing.

Anyway, this was just a suggestion and I see you guys don't like it. It'd be best to move on then and I will do my best to 'contribute'.
