Is a dot net domain good for blog?

How good is a domain in this extension?
I have searched a good name.
While the same name is not listed in google search and for sale at SEDO

Like others have said, for blog it's not that important which domain u use, of course, go for .com if it's available.

yup if the price is high and you can't afford .com right now, go for .net, it really don't matter.

but think of it like that :

1. lets say you have a good domain name "GoDaddy". if people start to recognize and keep hearing it from more people.(word of mouth publicity etc)
2. the first thing they do is open up a browser and write the name and hit (ctrl+enter).
3. so if you write godaddy in a web browser and hit (ctrl + enter) it will go to godaddy.com not godaddy.net
4. .com also look more authoritative than .net.
5. But you can always go for .net, .info, .org if you have a small project nothing special.
